oh the city massillon is at 1;15 the old pennsy shops in fort wayne had a steam hammer that was made there at massillon foundry, they made many hammers there and machines much like erie, chambersburg ceco, morgan engineering, and niles bemont pond, and other smithing and blacksmith shop for railroads equiptment was made by ajax, and national machine the bolt and rivet makers and bulldozers that would be used to shape things in the blacksmith shop, there was also bradly hammers, and the famed nazel hammers that were self contained air hammers with the air compresser built in, and bell and baudry, though you also had rr shops that cast their own machines such as bass made many of their own machines in fort wayne, and the old mount clare works where the b and o built their own stuff and their home base in baltimore, vertical integrated, but that was a differant time when we made more of our own stuff in this contry just like lima built all the stuff for the locos like 765 pretty much from scratch casting their own frames and making the rods and drive gear, and forming their own boiler and fireboxes, under sheet rollers, a 750 ton flanging press 4 post, and a 17 foot bull riveter to put it all togather I belive it went up to 150 tons of force on the ram, cept for the mud ring those were usually done by hand

@@evanf1293 I know for certain they had it on her for the first two weekends of the 1982 season when they ran between Brewster and Bellevue on the Wheeling & Lake Erie. Then came the Southern's lease of her to cover the rest of 2716's schedule, and Bill Purdie took it off and was apparently quoted to say that he didn't see the point of two headlights. I have no clue about 1983. Come 1984 the single beam was put on until the later part of the season, then the dual beam and oscillating headlight were reinstalled, **I THINK, SO DON'T DIRECTLY QUOTE ME ON IT.** 1985 and 1986 saw the single beam come back, the final years she wore it on mainline excursions. Obviously 1987 saw her wear the dual beam and oscillating headlight once again. My guess is that something happened with the oscillating light that put it outta commission, though I could very much be wrong and am willing to be corrected on that. '88 to 93' saw the dual beam stay on by itself. And that's the history of 765's regular headlights and oscillating headlight in her first excursion career. Hopefully this lil essay helped you. I definitely gave my fingers a workout to type this. Edit: Rewording.
