Mr. Brown, you should dip a fork in clear resin then shape it into the form of a spoon, then you can eat soup with a fork and blow people's minds!

Stick welders usually work a whole lot better for heavier weight material than mig welders, but you still did a great job. Props to my grandpa for teaching me these things, because I'm 11, and these days kids my age don't really learn these types of things, and I'm actually pretty mediocre at mig and stick welding, and I wouldn't have even learned any of this stuff if it weren't for him.

Peter, for your future welding endeavors you should bevel the edges of where your going to be welding whenever possible. This will allow the puddle to flow deeper and promote better penetration than a surface weld. By no means am I a professional welder but beveling has indeed saved my ass in many critical welds!

I'm actually a certified welder, so usually when I see someone weld for the first time I cringe a bit, but you did very well. I'd actually feel comfortable putting my weight into that hammock. I'd suggest either slowing your travel speed down or bringing your heat up though to help improve your welds so they'd be more like a gentle hill than a sharp mountain when you do your butt joints. Love your stuff. (Edited the speed part to clarify I mean travel speed and not wire speed.)

This is where a good proper bandsaw makes all the difference in the world. Set it up and let it fall. Shuts itself off when it's done and if you don't prop up the piece being cut you get an auditory alarm. Also with the right wire you can have a little bit of scale and be just fine.
@juangonzalez9848

Wait, so you've only got a metal chop saw and a wood stand up bandsaw. Weird selection. Good work, but just an odd tool selection.
