I was going to make a comment but when I read this one, I thought adding my 2 cents is a better choice. So, to start, I'd like to say, I.K.R. Rick's reaction to his guests is the best, it's always so genuine & genuinely Cool It's like he's just chatting with some ol' friends (who are also pretty damn Cool) about what everyone who's watching happens to love, music. Plus, it's a nice deal when the questions he poses & the responses he receives goes far beyond Entertainment Tonight could provide. Here, we're both entertained & educated. Lucky us.🍻 🤟🐻❄️

I got to record with Michael Omartian back in 2015 in Nashville tn. He was producing the band I was recording and touring with. On this particular record I did half of my bass tracks in the big room with the drummer and the other half sitting next to Michael playing bass while he was playing piano in the control room at the Castle recording studios. What an experience!

I'm speechless. Steely Dan, Christopher Cross, Peter Cetera... Back in the day, I'm honest enough to confess (mea culpa!) I had never payed much attention to whom was producing those unforgettable records. And interviewing so many talents through these years is a service - and to us, mostly a privilege - we'll never be able to thank Rick enough. Producer interview REQUEST: EUMIR DEODATO (from Frank Sinatra, Roberta Flack to Kool & the Gang and also to no more than Bjork, this guy definitely must have some good stories to tell).

@@madsam7582 11 year olds don't have their own developed tastes in music, art or fashion, they have preferences that are reflections of the family that raises them or their friends at school. 11 year olds now have just as good taste as I did in 1977/78. There's tons of great music now, but it's not mainstream, you have to work at finding it. Most people would rather say "music today sucks" than make the effort to find good music. That's why I don't associate with people my age (56) because they're all closed minded, cranky old farts living in the past. And yes, I'm saying I'm not like that.
