All vocal on this tune is like singing like a certain comedian singing this tune. That is what I read many years ago. If not for the patience of Mr. Jim Avila from Alburquerque, NM, showing me the chords which took me over 3 hours to learn and nearly 2 years of practicing I would never have learned the basics of this tune. To date (this tune is still difficult to play) to sound like Steely Dan only a few musicians have been able to master the tone. That is only an opinion but I'm sure their are those that can master this tune and Jim did an excellent job, (although he has passed on), imitating the tune. I still have got to perfect the leads and the chords are like no other tune. Bravo Steely Dan and it's past musicians. The closest to do the tune was a video by The September of Dukes and I was totally amazed how so close it really sounded but Dan was singing the tune. Bravo both guitarist and the remainder of the group. Hats off to all of you with a grace bow on your successful group - September Dukes!

Thanks for posting. Relieved that Steely Dan have a 2024 tour. But Steely Dan as an opening act?? Hard to imagine. Unless time travel is possible and Steely Dan are opening for the Miles Davis Quintet, I don't see it. Everything Steely Dan is timeless. Opening for The Eagles? Pfft. The Eagles were overrated back in day. Not to be too brutal on the boomers who paid good cheddar for tickets, but The Eagles catalog of music such as it was hasn't aged well.
