Nice explanation. I'm also considering this setup and thus how I stumbled upon your video. You mention running 37's but I dont see C Gussets welded up on your setup. Hows that working out? Do you wheel your Jeep? Thanx!

CO 4x4 thank you very much. Yes we just added c gussets. No issues so far. Yes we Wheel for sure. Check out our KZitem channel there are several videos showing how hard we wheel it. Holcomb Creek Trail was one of the tougher trails we have hit. Love the Steer Smarts setup glad the video helped definitely recommend the Yeti XD Tie rod and no Drill Top Mount Draglink.

Thank you very much we sure appreciate it. As far as the steer smarts goes I absolutely love them the only thing I’ve had to replace over the years has been an occasional boot but that is probably because I have so much flex I stress them out. They have taking a beating and really have been put to the test and have held up nicely. I am even running 40 inch tires now and they are still holding up. A++ for Steer Smarts. Appreciate you tuning in.

@@AZWESTSIDEWHEELERS thank you for responding. Sure I don’t flex it that much it’s a AEV lift 😆 can’t flex. I’ll be there in Arizona in December. Thanks again

Will the bracket work with a falcon steering stabilizer?

Drakonfly yes it will. We switched from Bilstein to the Falcon 2.2 Nexus Adjustable Stabilizer and it fit fine. Thanks for watching we are going to try and do a 1 Year review soon

Do you think it will hold off a death wobble? I got the death wobble because I have a lot of plays on my draglink
@AZWESTSIDEWHEELERS
6 жыл бұрын
Marven Cayo If you have death wobble because of wore out drag link then yeah I would think it would help drastically. If you were lifted more than 3 inches doing the drag link flip would help with geometry angles also the yeti XD steer smarts drag link has a no drill flip which makes it very easy to install. Other things to check would be ball joints, tie rod and track bar any of those wore out will help cause death wobble also.

AZ WESTSIDE WHEELERS WESTSIDE WHEELERS I also think that’s why I have terrible bump-steer to the point I avoid highways at all cost. Even changing lane is a 2 hands job cause the car is swaying all over the place. I do have a 3.5” lift with 37 size tires I also have a drag flip and recently change the balljoint and new tie rod. I do need a drag link and track bar they both got plays in it.

AZ WESTSIDE WHEELERS I read some reviews for yeti products so far they look good and I might invest in those instead of other brand. They look thicker and more steady able to support my heavy tires better

Marven Cayo That’s about what we are running 3 1/2 - 4 inches of lift and 37‘s and they are holding up great it got rid of my bump steer mine was pretty flighty also an adjustable track bar helped to and as far as them being pretty strong I would say absolutely I took a shot in two places on rocks this weekend doing some heavy rock crawling with no problems. Worth every penny get the track bar Bracket if you’re doing the flip kit it helps with geometry. Adjustable control arms would also help with driveline angles which helps the flighty feeling. And probably having it professionally aligned wouldn’t hurt. Don’t forget to subscribe to our KZitem channel if you haven’t already I will probably be doing an update on these parts and you can also check us out on Facebook and hit me up with any questions you might have.

@AZWESTSIDEWHEELERS

Kevin Mcbride hello. It’s holding up to the 37’s amazingly. No issues with it. Feels great. One of the big factors in choosing steer smarts was the 1.5 ton ends , the no flop Tie Rod even a lot of aftermarket ones end up flopping and the fact that you don’t have to drill out the knuckle when doing the drag link flip on this kit it is bolt on only. We love it it’s one of the best money spent mods on our Jeep. Thank you for watching feel free to hit us up with any questions always happy to help.

AZ WESTSIDE WHEELERS what's the advantage of the flipped drag link....I saw somewhere you needed at least a 3" bump stop for the top mount DL
@AZWESTSIDEWHEELERS
6 жыл бұрын
Kevin Mcbride The advantage of the flipped drag link is geometry correction and less stress on joints. when you lift a vehicle over 4 inches or anywhere around there the geometry of your drag link and track bar mounting locations are different which causes some unwanted steering feelings and added stress and wear on joints. If you look on the video and see where the stock one is mounted and I am flopping them around if you think about it now watch where it’s mounted on top there is a lot less angle headed to the steering box especially at full droop which helps the feeling in your steering and majorly saves on joints. Don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already I’m thinking about doing an update on these

Sadly, the SS JL'S use a spacer inside the TRE hole, making them a smaller diameter than anything else on the market. Externally, they are massive and pretty, but those SS TRE ends for JL are disappointing at best, and dangerous at worse. It's like they used generic TRE and then mated it to the JL by using the bushing. I have it in my trash part pile in the garage.
