These composite restaurations tend to fall off if to much dentine/cement is exposed on the tooth

Great job.. I have never come across use of the thread before. Does the thread have a specific name? Is it available in the shops premade or one has to maneuver his own>?

Thank you. Retraction cords are available from a wide range of manufacturers in different sizes. We suggest contacting your dental dealer for further information and their offering.

Why did you use flowable for one and normal composite for the other..... And which do you think is better....I actually like the easier handling of the flowable

We wanted to show both options in restoring a cervical lesion. The dentist can choose the composite for such class V restorations dependent on the individual handling preferences. The flowable and thixotropic Venus Diamond Flow or the pasty Venus Pearl/Venus Diamond. :)

Thank you for a nice presentation . Can you tell me the name of the oscillating handpiece?

For finishing and contouring, a fine oscillating diamond blade was used. It was attached to a EVA head of a contra-angled handpiece.

Without rubber dam!

In this case it was possible to keep the restoration area safely dry and so rubber dam was dispensed with.

What is this obsession about rubber dam...many doctors don't even use them lol

Rubber dam is the gold standard. It reduces relative humidity, reduces the chance of aspiration of any small instruments, and it makes it less tiring for you and your assistant when you're trying to retract a strong tongue while maintaining a dry field.
