@owtkvst

Of course they didn’t because nobody wants to address the hypocrisy. Think about the hate LeBron got this season for the Lakers missing the playoffs even tho they had injuries and the team wasn’t good. KD on the other hand is getting a complete pass for being terrible in a series where he has a HEALTHY Kyrie on his team and with a roster that was viewed as so good to the media that dudes were still picking the Nets to win the title as a 7 seed. It’s stuff like that why I never seen KD as the best player in the world. People give him all the praise in the world when he’s great and when he won those two chips on a stacked team but now that he’s struggling, it’s everybody else’s fault. It’s the team defense, it’s Kyrie not showing up, it’s Steve Nash. But in all reality, if KD was even AVERAGE in Games 1 and 2, the Nets would be up 2-1 right now at WORST.

He kind of addressed the question to JJ, who interviewed KD for his podcast, and JJ asked softball questions, avoiding topics like the superteam in GSW. JJ wasn’t going to trash KD. If you watch KDs postgame interview, he’s actually very honest about why he took so few shots. He thought he was forcing it too much and wanted to make smart decisions. In short, he hasn’t figured out what to do. He even declined to latch on to an excuse… he said he wasn’t tired or hurt, he essentially gave the Celtics their props. This isn’t so much KD not showing up. It’s the Celtics figuring him out, and KD, or the Nets for that matter, never figuring out how to respond.

Maybe it is time to go back and see why Durant was so successful in Golden State. It was Curry. Steph Curry drawing all the attention. KD and Kyrie are too great of scorers to be "taken out" by a defense. They are allowing themselves to be taken out by Boston. They are wilting to the pressure and not standing up to it. KD is choking and being exposed as a player without the heart or determination to stand up and fight back. Jordan, Kobe, Bird, Olajuwon, Duncan, Shaq, LeBron, are all basically unstoppable scores and could never be "taken out" of a series not putting up big numbers. KD is in that class. If it ever happened like LeBron in 2011 Finals, it was because he choked, not wha the other team was doing. KD is choking under the pressure.
@gunkmasterflex942
2 жыл бұрын
well ok, lets chill out because youre creating the assumption as if Boston is playing the greatest defense in NBA history and they're not. and what is a fact is that KD is most likely injured. because KD is actually unguardable, and kyrie is so on and off ( kyrie is a waste for playoffs) and the nets aren't coached for potential , nash doesn't and will not adjust the team because it may hurt KD OR KYRIE feelings. the nets are a waste of talent and the nets are more important than boston... wanna know why? because if you put this boston team into the west, he'll be sitting at the 9th seed.
