@@chrisw1503 And yet those are hall of fame numbers for 1970s QBs. Most QBs in that era had really bad INT numbers because the DBs could openly maul the receivers. At the time of his retirement, Joe Namath was 10th all time in passing yards, was the first QB to throw for 4,000 yards in a season, and won a super bowl. But I think he got into the HoF mostly on his persona, which was pretty big in the 1970s.

@@VulcanLogic And Joe Namath didn't just win a Super Bowl. He won arguably the most pivotal Super Bowl in the history of the NFL. The Jets' victory over the Colts in Super Bowl III helped merge the AFL and the NFL. All 10 AFL teams (Kansas City, New England, Buffalo, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Miami, the Los Angeles Chargers, Denver, Las Vegas and the New York Jets) came into the NFL based on the AFL showing it was on the same level as the old NFL. It was also how Namath won it -- by guaranteeing the upstart Jets would beat a Colts team coached by Don Shula (the NFL's all-time winningest coach) despite the Jets being a 19.5-point underdog. In many respects, that victory also put the Super Bowl on the map as a national sporting event. Some people don't understand the significance of Super Bowl III in NFL history and how it helped reshape the NFL.

@@michaeljohnson7945 I've seen that NFL film, and it was on a cathrode ray tube, black and white television in the early 80s. My point mainly was that QBs before the 1990s did not have 3:1 TD to INT ratios. Even Unitas and Tarkenton weren't remotely close to even a 2:1 ratio, and hall of famers like YA Tittle and Bobby Lane were also underwater, just like Namath. Bradshaw would be inducted in the 80s with 212 TDs and 210 picks on one of the best teams to ever be fielded. It was a different era.

The Zach Wilson/JaMarcus Bustell stat comparison is even more hilarious considering JaMarcus was a blubbery, out-of-shape drug addict who didn't study the playbook or game film (the infamous "Blank DVD" Scandal) and Zach Wilson is none of those things. Rob Saleh has exhausted all of his pathetic post game conference excuses for Zach, so now he's falling back on flat-out lying to our faces about ZW's progress. It's so transparent, and it's a damning rebuke on the way the Jets organization thinks of the fans & the media. If the Jets want to lie to themselves about the fate of their season, they are well within their rights, but like Smith said, "Don't spit in my face and tell me it's raining."

Correct me if I am wrong, but the Jets have scored 3 touchdowns in 3 games. That is absolutely attrocious, especially for a team that was supposed to be so elite. How did they go from this elite team to this bottom-feeder, lucky to get another win team, just because the starting qb went down and the backup is the number 2 overall pick. That means the quarterback is a problem, Zach Wilson is a problem. I think this game against the Chiefs will be the last time we see Zach Wilson in a Jets uniform, or best case scenario, last time on the field.

There is a huge difference between JaMarcus Russell and Zach Wilson!! Jamarcus was supposed to be transcendent!!! Zach Wilson was a question mark To just about everyone other than the Jets

True but there were still a ton of "analysts" who were marveling at his talent and thought he would develop into an elite qb, Simms, Jeremiah, Romo and others.
