Theres many times in this novel where I roared with laughter. It's outrageous-it's violent - unhinged with tons of mischief. King poured a vat of spunk and youth from his imagination for this one. Its a blast!

I loved this book actually, I think it’s one of his better books also. I wouldn’t say it’s a top 5 but it’s definitely a great book. The ending is a little crazy but I still liked how something was constantly going on in the story

Don't read this one if you haven't read the other Castle Rock stories; there's a lot of tie-in/callback. If you have read them, this is a really good book

It's my favorite along with Insomnia, another underrated book of his. This one is really good with all the social undertones of small town secrets coming back to haunt everyone, think Twin Peaks. Same idea. And Insomnia is just creepy as fuck. Love them both.

Good movie too. Growing up in Corinth, Maine I lived next to Chris Lavin, who this book is dedicated too. He was Kings drug and alcohol counselor and good friend. Cheers 🍻

Just finished the book…my word, that was deliciously dark and twisted. The last quarter of it is so frenetically paced, I could hardly take in one batshit crazy scene before I was engulfed by the next. “That suicide” though…haunting is the right word. Out of the 13 King books I’ve read so far, this is in my top 3 for sure (just nudged Cujo out the way), after The Stand and The Shining respectively. Top drawer stuff 👌🏽

I really liked it! As a life long collector of many things, I could relate to that desire for a certain elusive or rare item. It's the treasure hunt that's exciting, digging at flea markets, etc. Btw, it's not just this one, the Stranger Things title is in Stephen King's signature vintage book font... plus! Stranger Things, Stephen King... that's no accident lol!

Just finished the book tonight. Very good in most parts. I listened to the audio book so the most difficult part was keeping track of the character names and stories. I was trying to find a prank map in the vein of a train map to no avail haha that aside I like the character development and back stories. I think this is my 5th or 6th King and what I enjoy is the way he's able to draw you in a rip you for chapters at a time. I didn't mind the ending. It is what it is. Looking forward to my next King which should be 11/12/63. I knew of needful things in high school and the premise even back then drew me in - buyer beware. Haha.

This is a fun book, even if the ending is a bit daft. I also enjoyed the movie for what it was, especially Max Von Sydow as Gaunt and J.T. Walsh as Buster. As for what my needful thing would be? I'm sure that John Bonham's acrylic drum set from the 70s would be my undoing.

This book dragged on for a few chapters too long. Never finished it. While “It”, despite its length, sucked you in, Needful Things just run out of gas and sputtered away in the last fifth of the book.‘I just skipped to the end. The whole town blew up? Good riddance.
