I loved how, in the gap between Wizard and Wolves, King made so many references to the DT and characters in his many other published works. HiA is one of my very favourite King books 🤩

Another awesome Dark Tower book. Can't wait to finish the series. Kinda nervous though. I've heard a lot of people upset about the ending

Just finished it today and as usual I rush over to watch your video on it. I am still working my way through your DT reading list. I loved this one, I'm finding each DT book better than the last. Keep waiting for a dip in form and it hasnt come yet, looking forward to finishing it all. Love your videos and yes Andy was annoying but still I hated Richard Sloat from the Talisman the most of any character he's written 😂

I finished that one for the first time last month. I’m taking a last break before 6-7 to read Hearts in Atlantis. I thoroughly enjoyed Wolves. And yes, I also didn’t care much for the town and most of the characters there, but to be honest I’ve never been a huge fan of all the western stuff in DT, even though it doesn’t stop me from enjoying a lot everything else as a whole and, for instance, to also have loved Wizard and Glass despite not caring a ton for Meijis either. The take on Magnificent Seven was in itself good fun, but it’s really Callahan’s story and all the mysteries in NYC and soon in Maine that made the book for me. I was spoiled about Callahan’s return, but that only means I built expectations for it and I wasn’t disappointed, in fact I loved it even more than I expected I would. I’m really excited to go on with Song of Susannah, which got described to me as “weird shit”, and I like when King goes weird (big fan of Insomnia, notably). The final scenes at the doorway really put a huge smile on my face.

After the slog that was Wizard and Glass and the meh that was Wind Through the Keyhole, I think King got the story back on track with Wolves. Sure it’s just a long side quest, but it was a pretty enjoyable read that makes me excited for the last two books. Some nitpicks: the Calla scenes go on too long for sure, and the ending was resolved too quickly and lacked tension. But overall I enjoyed and I’m going right into SoS

I really wish they waited until an adaptation of Wolves of Calla to remake Salem’s Lot, because if they used Father Callahan first in a Dark Tower adaptation, they could’ve used Salem’s Lot as a prequel for him, but he’s not the main character. I hope the upcoming remake ends up being good, but I doubt it given that it’s just 1 movie when it should’ve been a miniseries. Ari Aster should’ve directed Salem’s Lot instead of Gary Dauberman.

I'm certainly intrigued to see how they condense Salem's Lot into a single movie. I want Ari Aster to get a shot at Revival!

This book, for me, is the beginning of where King falls off the cliff and takes these beloved characters straight to he'll. ...not a fan of most of it here...and it only gets more distressing, imho.

I found this book to be the most boring one of the whole series. Endless pages of sod all happening in that silly town. The battle at the end was also so short and anti-climactic. The Father Callahan stuff saved this from being a total write off. Kudos to King for totally ripping of the Magnificent Seven though, and it was cool there were seven main people fighting v the Wolves at the end. And yes, Andy the Messenger robot can do one. Despite all this, it's still a DT book, so the good stuff always overrides the bad, but this could have been a more concise volume.
