Well Mr. Johnson, as a kid (I'm 22 in july) I never seen any of the men around me cry. Only the women. And only when an important woman in their life was gone, would I see them cry. I cried... a lot. Well, that is one more year down. Last night was a lonely one, as many birthday nights have been these past few years. I miss them all. My twin brother, daughter, family and friends, brothers killed in war....and the list seems to go on... Again there was no cake, no candles, no singing, but my birthday wish was the same, no matter how futile. I hope some day....I find out where all the love goes. I wish you all here in the comments...nothing but...peace and progress.

I am still amazed by this song, and the chills still come with it!

This song found me at the right time. Losing someone close to you during the holidays isn’t easy. It’s good to remember that the intense grief we feel is the heavy recoil from an intense love we shared. The blessing is the life of love we shared. The real tragedy would have been never having shared that love with them. - Til we meet again.

Music, lyricists come songwriters like yourself are voices shape feelings into manageable snippets of melodies and notes, somehow digestible that keep us from drowning. I've never heard this song until 4 hours ago. Immediately I thought of our dad who died decades before his dad, stunning my brother and sister. He held my daughter once when she was 2 months old. My granddaughter is now two and a half years old. Today our mom is in hospice, nearly 9 months. Lingering as my sister says. She was one of my best friends, and there's glimmers of that person still in there. I also recognize how trapped her soul must be, afraid well despite the fact her brother, mom, and Dad are all waiting. She told us that her mom visits her in her dreams. Your dad said to write him a really great song. 6Well, my heart and soul say you've accomplished tha.t. Someday when we meet, I'll give you a big hug. Thank Stephen you 🙏🏼🌹💓
