It's nice that you want to help your children's father but I also worry about Stephen's intentions or ability to take advantage of your self-admitted codependency.. Please be careful. Codependency as you know obscures obvious red flags from us when we're enmeshed (not a healthy adaptation). I hope you have some kind of therapeutic support from a professional versed in trauma, addiction, and codependency over the next 6 months then. I didn't think I needed it until I had it. But good luck momma. ❤

Laura as someone who tried to live with my bd after we split its impossible they keep trying to slip back in but glad you feel you have a little support but I do feel like it’s an excuse to be closer in your life and know what you’re up too. I had 4 ankle surgeries from 14 to 18 and did fine by myself didn’t need a support perso. Taking care of me the crutches are the only support he needs he slept good by he wasn’t obsessing over what you may be doing without him seems like entitlement

A broken foot at the same time as a sprained ankle sounds horrific! I hope he heals quickly. Your neighborhood is so peaceful with lovely trees!

Your knees will be hurt by the pavement, if you can find a softer surface like grass. That will help with your knees.

Wear some knee compression sleeves when you're running/walking & that should help

Evidently so. There is no reason he has a key or any sane right to enter her home.

They should remarry. Not because it would be healthy or positive but because if she wants to have total control the closest she will get is giving up any path forward or any possible healthy relationship. You can't eat your cake and have it too.
