Biologyexams4u's first video crossing 100000 views. Heartfelt thanks to all for supporting this venture. This video was simply an attempt to explain my understanding in rDNA technology and turned out to be our best video only because of your appreciation and support.....Still I love to be known as a student of life science than a teacher of life science. This wouldn't have been possible without your encouragement......still deep in love with biology....Once again thanking you so much...........

What are the steps in Recombinant DNA tech? 1. Cut bacterial plasmid (vector) using restriction enzyme 2. Ligase gene of interest onto the gap of bacterial plasmid to get Recombinant DNA 3. Insert altered vector into bacterial host 4. Allow for multiplication into colony 5. Select for Transformed bacterial cell with recombinant (altered) vector through Selective Medium, etc

Thank you, sir, for such a great explanation. I have a doubt: How these bacteria are stained using selectable markers or how selectable markers are used for identifying the bacteria having the desired gene? If you can kindly answer my question, I would be grateful to you.
