Mam there is no such requirement to place the lowest priority group on the dotted wedge in allenes to determine/designate them as R or S stereomers. Such a requirement arises in chiral centers attached to four different groups pointing in different direction. In allenes groups have fixed geometries in two different planes at the terminal carbons. This modified R and S nomenclature is applied to allenes with even no of double bonds as they are considered as extended/elongated tetrahedrons. Also, you can view the molecule from either end. The groups attached to the carbon from the viewing end get priority over the farther end while designating them as Ra or Sa.

Is the arrow rule really necessary? In all the examples if we disregard the arrow and order the groups in accordance with atomic number rule then the same order is found.. Please mention an example where the resulting order changes upon not adhereing to arrow rule..

At 28:10 cyclophanes for upper ring we write opposite config bcoz very simple,you rotate your finger towards clockwise now lift your hand with rotating only above your head then look at your finger it moves anticlockwise.Same here we have to look from lower ring side view.

Ma'am in cyclophane system, when we rotate it by 180 degree upper ring becomes lower and the substitute which is inside the plane becomes outside the plane,then if we do numbering it becomes s configuration. Am I right?

Kyuki bond rotate ho raha thaa par plane of symmetry Kaha SE hogi because so3h toh different group hai naa F SE . Please mam reply . I am not able to understand it after even so much thinking.

2 bulky group nhi h isliye iska rotation nahi rukega or ye rotate krega jiske Karan ye planar structure ho jaega or isme molecular plane hoga Jo ki sabhi atoms ko half divide krega ....so isme plane if symmetry present h

In allenes (even double bonds) terminal groups are inclined at 90 degrees and so are the double bonds. I am afraid there is nothing like staggard or eclipsed terminology used here.

I think nomenclature of allene ad you explained was doutful.According to my university professor there is no any need of whether the 4th atom or molecule is present on above (solid wedge) or below (solid dot) plane.By converting allene structure into fisher like formula we can find out configuration

At 5.54 min. you said that all are in one plane. Let me clear you one thing that the central double bond is in vertical plane while terminal double bonds are in horizontal plane. Rest is fine.

21.31 min handbag example for an Ansa compound is a bad example. It is like an handle of a door. Arene nucleus along with its substituents lies on the plane of chirality (rigid part of the molecule i.e. the door, handle is the poly methylene chain connecting the two oxygen atoms). You have not given n = how many methylenes. You should have recognised the sequence preferred end of the plane. Why are you confusing your followers? If I am wrong, kindly correct me.

At 31 min, trans cyclooctene R/S- configuration is not determined properly. Sorry to hurt your followers. In helical molecules only P- and M-method is used. You are using R- and S-method. Why? If I am wrong, kindly correct me.
