speaking from 1st hand experience, being 16 growing up in brooklyn during the crack plauge, this was the soundtrack to our lives growing up in new york. 14, 15, 16 17 yr old laying it down, representing hip hop 24-7, the clubs were so lit, niggaz would get robbed, smacked up, beat up, body slamed while songs like this was rocking the club. check out kid-n-play "last night"

Yes, sure was. In short, it was the first "Tunnel"; which became legit. It was underground; which explains why we got in at 16 and 17. Music was the focus, not sex or drinking. The Biz, LL, Salt and peppa, and others before anyone knew about them. I forget the others. Needless to say, it got raided.
