I was a parole officer and staff with the John Howard Society at Edmonton Institution from 1982 - 1984 before I did my masters. Your father was chaplain during the time. I loved him all the more for it as did the inmates. Love this song - wonderful - congrats on award! Abbotsford BC

Thank you so much for sharing your heart for your dad with this world. It made me think of my Dad and how much I still miss him. My favourite line from the song is that he wasn't perfect, but you loved him all the more for that! So true.

How very beautiful Steve. You made me cry. I wonder if you ever heard my arrangement of your song that I recorded in Nashville: Burning Embers. PM me if you'd like to hear it. Happy Father Day Steve. We love your music, enough to record it. Angela Chan/Reverb Nation
