Big Steve, you look a lot healthier buddy, glad you got yourself straight! My little brother lives in Bardstown now, he moved there from Etown, I lived there with him for quite a while, and we used to float the Rolling Fork, over near Hodgenville, we’d fish and camp and just have a big Ol time. That Rolling Fork has some decent catfish in it, mainly Channels and flatheads. Anyhow, yeah I seen a couple of videos of Steve’s, looked like he was fishing the rolling fork, sure looked like it to me. Yeah I went to that first CC at Crowne Plaza and it was something else, as in awesome, I ran into fellars that I hadn’t seen in 25 years, like Bill Duncan, used to rub elbows with that fellar at a certain paylake, oh and Shannon Williams too, course he was a teenager back then.

I really enjoyed this discussion and yeah spot on about no Catfish stuff at any other fishing shows, so disappointing. I remember Steve and I giving each other words of encouragement on our KZitem pages WAY back in those early 2000's. Awesome to see how well he's done and he's looking great too.

Some of your best work. I enjoy these interviews, Capt'n John, Steve, etc. Steve's videos enticed me to get back into catfishing after a 20-year break from catching medium size channel cats. His videos pointed me in the right direction for rods, bait, bottom rigs, boats, and the whole experience. Soon I'm catching 30-40 pound Blue Catfish in the river down the road. I had no idea. Thanks for doing this and honoring Steve.

YESSIR!. 4th grade to about 8th, before I grew up. pffft Five gallon bucket on each side of the bicycle's handlebars, and sometimes an extra on the back "sissy bar" with the rear wheel scrubbing the bucket.. One for tackle and one for bait, and the third for jus' cuz'. Wish I had a dollar for every mile I put on that bike. Could go to the places most other people were too lazy to fish. Had two early morning paper routes to feed the fishin'...small town S.E Iowa (Ottumwa)..DesMoines, river back then..Mom sure did get excited when I didn't finish the Sunday morning route in time to make it to church. Ouch... Yup, I did it on purpose and am not ashamed. lol Oh to be young again. {Thank you and Steve} so very much for posting as this brings back some cherished moments that I'd nearly forgotten about!

I really think as time goes on, catfishing is going to continue to become bigger than anyone ever thought it would. It brings out the kid in people, but then you have the legitimate chance of catching a true monster fish…. Bass, crappie, bluegill fishing just don’t have the same chance(and I’ve tournament fished bass and crappie for years!).
