Good to see that as early as his younger years, the moves he shows in the nba is already there (1) hesi pull up 3s (2) in your face 3s (3) The quickness in attacking the basket by lowering his shoulders and leaning (4) when he drives he pauses in the middle and puts the defenders in his back

Imagine Steve playing at his peak in today's NBA, where shooting three's is half of the offensive plays for all teams. You're basically looking at what Steve would do just by watching Steph Curry. Their games emulate each other because Nash was Steph's favorite player growing up. But if Nash shot as many 3's per game as the average NBA point guards do today, Nash would go down as one of the greatest 3point shooters in history.. Steph Curry, known as the greatest three point shooter of all time has an other-worldly CAREER 3pt percentage of 43%... guess what Steve Nash's CAREER 3pt percentage was...43%!!! The only difference obviously is that Steph Curry shoots many more threes per game than Steve ever did. But in today's game, Steve Nash would literally emulate what Steph Curry is doing now, if he had shot the amount of 3's Steph does... Plus just like Steph Curry, Steve Nash is a wizard handling and passing the ball, and getting his teammates involved... he's an even a better passer than Steph Curry is... Steve Nash would be considered an even greater point guard than he is already known for..

@@NewEnglish860 That's awesome man! To have two young kids appreciating basketball history says a lot about their father! If you are a historian of the game yourself, that will rub off on your kiddos. It's that way with all facets of life..and it indicates great parenting! My hats off to you!

You’re wrong. Nash and Curry are different. The former is a pure point guard, a pass first player who can shoot it extremely well. That’s his nature. If he played in today’s NBA, he would still be a pass first player. The second is a shooting guard listed at the point guard position, a shoot first type of player. He doesn’t really care about distributing the ball, he wants to gun it, hence why is career assist average is so low. Also, Curry is born in 88. He was influenced by his father, Reggie Miller, and like a lot of players born in the 80s, Allen Iverson. That’s why he plays the way he does, i.e shooting of 3´s, moving without the ball, heavy scoring, ball handling, etc.

@@ezco007 Of course he would still be a pass-first point guard. That would always be the case regardless of any era he would play in. But if he played in this era, his number of attempts behind the 3-pnt line would go way up. Not necessarily because he would absolutely want to, but because that's what today's game would require. That's what offensive schemes are built on in today's NBA. Any coach that would have Nash on their team today would encourage him to shoot more threes for the simple fact that he's a great 3pt shooter (43% for career). He would be used more frequently as an offensive weapon. Case in point: he shot MANY more threes in Mike D'Antoni's 7 seconds or less offense than he ever did in Dallas. And he would shoot even more threes in today's game..

He's one of the best point guards to ever play in the NBA. He's right up there with the G.O.A.T. John Stockton.

@@Verygery12 It's not a ridiculous take. Kidd was by far the MVP of 2 Nets teams who got to the finals with Kenyon Martin as Kidd's 2nd best teammate. Also, Kidd very well could have and maybe should have won the league MVP in 02.

Listening to Gary Williams' podcast and he told the story of the Maryland players laughing at the guy with the shoulder-length hair on Santa Clara before the game. Gary's punchline was "after the game i told 'em, you should have gotten that guy's autograph cause he's gonna be in the hall of fame". LOL! (Sad to see that Nash didn't actually have long hair in that game, but you get the point.)
