Steve Nash has had four 50-40-90 seasons, barely missed a fifth in 2007 which would have made it 5 years in a row! Curry has only had 1 such season so far. I do think Curry takes harder shots, and is the greatest 3 point shooter ever, but he hasn't surpassed Nash yet based on the stats. Curry is 3rd in career free throw percentage, Nash is 1st, and you can't blame that one on the evolution of the game.

There are 2 point guards that in my opinion deserved rings for their stellar careers and accomplishments. First, John Stockton (Thank MJ and The Bulls for that lol) and second, Steve Nash. People call CP3 a Point God, but if that's true Steve Nash deserved the name way before him. His court vision was unreal, and he should get an award alone for making big men into allstars. And a mind blowing stat is that only he and Larry Bird have repeated the 50-40-90 shooting performances for a season (Nash 4 times and Bird 2). I will repeat STEVE NASH AND LARRY BIRD. He would have been far worse in the 90s, with the hand-check still in place. We can see what his career would have been, since he played with the hand-check up until the 2005 season. He was a borderline all-star that was in no way considered a superstar or all-time player. His career exploded when the hand-check was completely removed. Coincidence? Certainly conflated with his hooking up with D'Antoni.

@@discostu6045 Yes, I referenced that. You appear to lack reading comprehension. I was giving him a fair shake, as the first three years of his career were in the 90s. He was a mediocrity, if you really want to focus on facts and stats from that period. He became a better player in the early 00s, but never someone that was considered a superstar. Not until the hand-check was removed. Then he had a notable turnaround, both statistically (he never had a 50/40/90 in the hand-check years, for instance) and reputation wise.
