On May 25, 2014 Steve Perry, The lead singer/songwriter for the band, Journey from 1978-1997, walked on stage after a 20 year absence. It was during the encore at an EELS concert in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Steve Perry came on Stage and sang three songs for the first time since his solo "Strange Medicine" Tour in 1994-1995. It's fantastic to him a little unsure of himself and if anyone knows who he is. He sings the EELS song "It's A Motherfucker", which seems to be an odd choice for a first song after 20 years since it isn't PG. He then sings the Journey hits, "Open Arms" and "Lovin', Touching', Squeezing'" before walking off the stage.
