He’s one of the few people that can sing in that range and when he belts power notes it doesn’t assault your ears. Rare. He’s smooth, perfect pitch and transition and knows when to use his vibrato. Michael Bolton makes my throat heart ! Not Steve Perry though !

Steve is still alive, Sir. He unfortunately had a major surgery years back for vocal nodules, that affected his voice and it's never been the same.since 😭

He's 'The Voice' brother man, try Mother, Father, it is sublime. Please, let me remind you to listen to Judas Priest, Dreamer/Deceiver & Deceiver. Rob Halford, vocalist since '69 of Priest, is known as 'The Metal God'. His 5-octave voice will Astound You! Love you man, keep dropping!

Steve Perry's main influence was Sam Cooke. It is showcased in songs like foolish heart and sweet and simple. You should listen to that then go listen to cupid by Sam Cooke. You can hear how big of an impact he made on young Perry!

Two suggestions where Perry is concerned... one is really smooth - a song called Missing You from one of his solo albums. But find the live version! It’s brilliant. Journey albums: Infinity, Evolution, Departure, Captured (live album), Escape, Frontiers, Raised on Radio, Trial by Fire. Solo albums: Street Talk, For the love of Strange Medicine (1994) and Traces released Oct 2018.. Not a bad song on any album.

1:38 Those are the type of eyes I see in girls when they see their favourite singer sing and they’re completely quiet. They’re not screaming they’re just in complete awe. You are clearly fangirling without meaning to. I, too, am a big fan of Steve Perry’s and I was fangirling.
