Steve's such a nice guy. Back in 1984, I was working at the Holiday Inn, in Englewood, Ohio, during high school, and I delivered his room service order. He was very kind.

@@BillieBailey-th3lc Yes it is. I also delivered room service to Judi Dozier who signed her room service receipt "Theda Bara". Of course, at the time, I had no idea who Theda Bara was. The next day I got a $10 tip for carrying the band's luggage out to the tour bus. They had played Hara Arena in Dayton the evening prior. Myself and one of the cooks from the kitchen stood out by the front desk and watched Billy & the others walk out to their bus.

Steve Stevens is a fantastic guitarist and all around musician. The arrangements on Rebel Yell are beautifully done. It's one of the best sounding albums of the 80s imho.

If Rebel Yell came out today, It would change the direction of Rock music. Its a solid hit, and would stir up todays youth just as it did in the 80s. As Jeremy stated, it doesn't sound dated. It has great beat, melody, hook, bad ass imagery... Its has it all

I STILL like listening to it REBEL YELL (I still have my original 1983 album)! I DON'T like everything I adored in the 80's (I had 3 Madonna albums from back in the day, but have NO desire to listen to her now). Billy and Steve created CLASSIC music!

Steve's use of tasty licks, tremolo, feedback, and experimental sounds created a spacious, ambient quality to their music that was amazing, and unique to him. Great interview! Thanks for the great music, Steve!

Billy Idol and Steve Stevens are a force of nature. Billy's punk sense combined with Steve's modern rock tones set the stage for a team that is still going strong 40 yrs later.

Great interview! I love the back in forth style of this interview…the interview is thought provoking without the interviewer talking too much, which does seem to happen unfortunately in a lot of cases. He proposes really good questions and then gives the artist room to talk. I hate it when the interviewer starts interrupting and won’t let the artist say enough to answer the questions.

Get the motor…so perfectly stated. Steve Stevens and BI had that going “the groove”. You could feel it as soon as the songs start. Percussion and pulse. Great stuff great interview.

I think everyone can agree that Steve Stevens is one of the greats and is not given the kind of recognition that is commiserate to his ability... But the thing that isn't being said enough is what a freaking crazy good STAGE PERFORMER he is! The physicality and the flare and the awareness of his body when he is performing... Sometimes it's like that guitar is his dance partner in some crazy tango or something...lol he is amazing to watch as well as listen to

5:30 I think what you're missing, Jeremy, is that the Rockman (and I say this as a Rockman lover and user) was the "amp modeler / plug-in" of it's time. Everybody was using them! The trouble was, until they introduced the pro grade "Rockmodules" in the late 80s, they only got one sound - Tom Scholz' Boston tone (killer, sure, but still). I can totally understand why Steve would want to redo those tracks - but I'm glad he didn't!😂

Steve is NOT "dumm"! Maybe because I LOOK for him, I FIND him in videos (with EVERY band, videos give more "face time" to lead singers).
