Just saw the Guitar God live yesterday(6th December 2023) in Mumbai, India. He opened with this. Was so close to the stage that I could just reach out and touch the guitar!! 2nd row from the stage barrier. Felt more of a private concert due to it!! Amazing playing obviously. Such an amazing concert. To see one of your guitar idols live and that too from such a close distance! Was lucky enough to even get a pick thrown by his rhythm guitarist!! Will cherish this forever!!

@@jakedevries1455 Yes. Actually the role Steve played in the movie 'Crossroads' was very similar to the Demonic appearance of the great 19th Century violin virtuoso Niccolo Paganini who's Caprices had that kind of 'demonic liquid energy'....& Steve performed interpretations & variations of some of them on guitar in that movie.

You’ve have always and particularly now, taken guitar virtuosity, composition, your infinite musical archive & limitless imagination, to worlds far exceeding our wildest dreams. You’ve left no stone unturned. I can’t imagine what’s next!! Thank God, long ago, I stopped playing the guitar and began playing the Stick and for many years now the Warr. Maybe there’s still a chance for me to say something musically. After listening to this, it’s very unlikely. God Bless hermano

The Salvador Dali of Guitar splattered with glitter and electricity. Vai takes his heart out with an M80 and blows it up on Carnival spinner art. Soul master influencer spreads out the melody and then digs into passages of gripping melody and technical sorcery. I can't tell if he's crying his heart out or pushing his dream through you. A Master of his art and I'm inspired to splatter my own words describing it. Fun. I Love It.

As much as i love most of Vai`s stuff, i can hear this Album isn`t my cup of tea. Never thought i`d say something like this, but i feel like something is missing but i can`t place my finger on it. I haven`t found a song that sticks with me yet like FTLOG, Answers, Tender Surrender, Building the church, The audience is listening etc. I think i just have to accept that an artist might evolve beyond my taste and i guess that`s ok... I respect every bit of work that went into this album though!
