I know I will get hate for this. As a former NIFB. I can confirm this. As a mother who joined this church in another area. I WAS never enough a woman. I regret many things I did there... as a parent trying to live up to be the woman I should be. I didn't make it. I do feel that as a mother, the pressure we have to do fit in is so much. I thought it was all because God wanted this. We got kicked out because of me. I wasn't enough. This church brought so much pain and trauma that i will never ever go back in my life. These people have no mercy. Today, I am still dealing with this trauma. I am glad my husband was never like these men. Never. They even told my husband you can't control your wife? It's terrible, chruch. Terrible .. it brought trauma to my whole family, and I regret joining them. The worst mistake of my life. I do have to add when I seeked Help to let the other churches know like the one in Sacramento and el monte they never even heard my side or cared. Even when we tried contacting the one in Washington. They don't believe what they say or the high way. Regardless of having recordings of it.

They all try to copy pastor Anderson and feed of each other’s hate, railings, demonic influences and destruction to other Christians.

Post the recordings. This is sick, I'm so sorry. They are terrified of women too because they are weak gamma males that must beat their wives into submission. They are too weak to handle a woman with opinions and it infuriates them that they know deep down that they could absolutely never have a strong woman willfully submit to them. I am strong, opinionated, am able to hold down the fort when my husband is away, and yet I absolutely adore my husband and respect him as head of our household, I trust his leadership. What these nifb WHIMPS don't want to admit is that they could never lead a woman and have her follow without beating her down. They'll come with the insults but let them, we all know they know how weak and pathetic they are and beside their little gamma club, everyone's laughing at them.

You are not alone in your experience and there are many who may find healing through what you shared. I hope that you are able to continue to heal yourself and find a way to protect your siblings. It doesn't surprise me, but the fact that no other NIFB pastor is willing to step up and do what is right shows you they are all cowards and none of them have the spiritual fortitude to go against the grain. None of them believe Jesus's words in the bible that if you offent the least of these you deserve a milstone around your neck. If none of these pastors are willing to protect the innocent children, none of them deserve to step foot behind a pulpit. Keep speaking out, we are listening.

Here's how cult mind control works in the NIFB (from a former member)... Anderson is the unquestioned, infallible leader so to join the cult, you check your own judgment at the door. When red flags arise, the benefit of the doubt automatically goes to the pastor and the testimony of any detractor is dismissed for any number of shallow reasons (worldly appearance, past failures in other areas, wrong doctrine, "not saved," "reprobate," etc.). With a smooth-tongued sermon for damage control from Anderson (like on September 8), all is explained away and the wool is pulled even tauter over members' eyes, securing their role as yes men to a narcissist. John described how the other pastors in the movement walk in lock step as well. They have surrendered their own judgment to Anderson and are not allowed opinions apart from him. So whomever Anderson reprobates, the rest of them follow suit, even if there's no evidence. John will be reprobated for speaking out and everyone within the movement will adjust their thinking to the same conclusion, all without gathering any evidence or investigation, all the while justifying that the pastor's kids are jumping ship for no good reason. Another way members are under mind control is every time they see a person physically removed from a service or slandered about from the pulpit, they subconsciously mark that will happen to them if they defect or oppose Anderson. Fear suppresses any honest evaluation of any red flags that come up. So yes, Faithful Word is a cult. The easiest ways for members to leave the cult is quietly. If you do speak up, just be prepared for a ruthless smear campaign and for your "friends" to shun you. You feel like you're losing a lot but you gain your freedom to think for yourself again on the outside. The NIFB is devoid of true love and you don't realize it until you're out. John, you're very brave. Post trauma life is definitely up and down, but as you regain your strength and identity in the real Jesus Christ (not the NIFB version), you'll see that leaving was the best thing you could have done. - Michelle Morgan

As a former member of FWBC I can attest that this is incredibly accurate unfortunately. I left during the Tyler Baker controversy, and to this day attend Baker's church. I wholeheartedly believe many of the members of FWBC and PSA himself are saved but even saved Christians can do some pretty horrible things. PSA is woefully unqualified and no one should be following him as a Pastor. This is the judgement of God on PSA and his family for years of horrible treatment of Christian brethren as well as his very own wife and children. He made is own bed, now he has to lie in it.

This guy is so brave. I didn’t realize he was only 19 when watching the interview on Dead Domain. I hope he gets some progress on his CPS case, as hard as everything was for him growing up it must be such a heartbreak to be struggling to help his younger siblings. Also the power cord thing is no joke, it’s hard to believe that his dad could be leaving literal bloody welts all over the bodies of his entire family and nobody outside noticed anything. People must have known. I wonder how many of the church members are experiencing similar things, though. Tia Levings seemed to indicate in her book that, at her fundamentalist churches, among the women there was an awareness that they were all receiving a certain level of abuse but that it was something not talked about.
@thecultchronicles
10 күн бұрын
Yea it’s really difficult because there is an assumption in fundamentalism that everyone is being spanked and harmed. Part of the group believes it to be necessary, the other half is afraid to speak up because of the conditioning in believing things won’t go well or we won’t be believed. It’s SO important for those who suspect abuse to contact CPS. No matter what. It could literally save lives and help to at least put the family on notice.

This punishment involves inflicting physical pain, typically for disciplinary purposes, and has historically been used in schools, prisons, and the military. Has the term corporal punishment always been used to describe obeying the word of god? Or has it been wheeled out recently for the end times? Hitting you wife is not on. That's wrong. Drawing blood doesn't sound right; neither does not using a rod. Psalms:49:20: Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish. I watched John's interview with Jordan on Dead Domain but I did not realize how young he is and how fresh this all is for him. It is stunning that John is only 19 years old and one year out. Some of the things he said are so incredibly insightful. Being raised in an environment like that it would be understandable (unacceptable but understandable) if he turned out like his parents and continued the cycle of abuse. But it seems as though he is aware of the damaging messaging he grew up with and is taking steps to educate and heal himself. I am so impressed. Thank you Eric for this interesting and compassionate interview and thank you John for your honesty and for continuing to fight for the safety of your siblings. Please continue speaking out against these abusers so hopefully justice can be one day served 💜

I am a Christian and I could never beat my children. It would break my heart. I have a 14 year old daughter who can be a handful sometimes but she is so sweet and amazing and we have a great relationship. My little boys 4 and 1 and the most loving sweetest adorable precious beings to me. I love my kids so much. Every day I play with them and hug kiss tell them I love them so much. That they make me proud and happy. I would say I lean more right on most things and some things I don't. Yeah sometimes you have to be stern with your kids but this can be done in a loving and caring way. I don't understand this or why parents would do this to their children. It's wild to me. I can't comment on Steven or Zsuzana or however her name is spelled since I never met them, but I did find it disturbing how she would give the kids the cold oatmeal treatment for not eating what they were told to. She also was super focused on dieting throughout her motherhood. I wonder if this started as a reaction to being abused by her husband? Poor kids. I left the Baptist church and became Pentecostal. I have noticed that Steven and his wife seem to be afflicted and oppressed. I pray that they repent. I also pray for this son of theirs who is obviously very traumatized! But there is no substitute for knowing you have done the right thing. I myself have questioned my decision to leave the church for years until today. I now know that I wasn’t crazy & that something was seriously wrong behind closed doors. I thank you for having the courage to come out publicly & tell us all what is really going on. I only wish you or your brothers would have said something sooner. I would have NEVER stood by & let this continue had I known. I also want to thank for saying you don’t believe the church was a cult & that many members are good God loving Christians that only wanted to serve the Lord but have been deceived. I was blind for many years until I saw a glimpse of strangeness & was unbiblically “ thrown out “ for standing up & trying to convince your father he needed to set down & get his family in order. I don’t blame you if you dislike or hate me. Let me say though, it was never my intention to cause you harm. I’m sure your punishment was so severe after the incident involving the chat group. Just know I didn’t blame you kids for your behavior. But I did want to hold your father responsible. My wife & I always suspected your mother was an evil person though. The way she treated my family, especially my lovely wife was always bizarre. I was an insecure, depressed and anxious teenager back then and religion is what I used to cope. I'm ashamed to say that I fully agreed with Steve's hateful preaching at first, but over the years of being a Christian my views moderated, and I came to a point where I considered Steve to be angry, hateful, fringe and heterodox. I suspected that the Anderson family's home life wasn't as perfect as Steve and Zusanna tried to make it seem. I'm thankful that I never attended or got involved with any NIFB church in person. I'm sorry for any kids that are stuck in an NIFB environment and hope they can get out and recover and find some real friends and family that really do love them.

John , this behavior of your family is not normal. You are wonderful man to expose this and try to make life better for your younger siblings. Children are NOT owned by their parents. You raise them to follow their dreams, encourage their talents ,let them make choices, and hopefully you end up with a person that is a wonderful contributor to society . Also living with a parent that screams, yells , beatings is major trauma .

it's incredibly difficult to admit to yourself that you've been abused by your parents,,so it's a strong choice to come forward and I commend him for wanting to help himself his siblings and to speak out ...we don't recognize that turning family member against family member is biblical especially in the end times....in matt 10: 36 Paul tells the disciples " your only enemies will be the members of your own family" also I hear mentioned all the time about how the parent is "nice" sometimes...that's called "intermittent reinforcement" which also causes the"trauma bond" with the abusers....it's all manipulation...manipulative spirits are not of the Lord. he judges our hearts...and if your heart is not given to God ,....you can preach well,... but he's going to say in the end " Depart from me for I knew you not".

Does anyone know what Steven Anderson is studying at college and the subject/area of knowledge he is getting all these degrees including a masters? It's very unusual for a bloke so against colleges and credentials. My brother Pamela (they/them) is a plumber but has serious PhD level maths knowledge after teaching himself from textbooks and videos over many years. Yet there's no way he'd get a college gig because he ain't got that paper - and he doesn't want to teach anyway. I'm really suspicious as to why Andy would hand over the money to a college. He ain't rich and he ain't got time to spare. I mean it's fine to book learn on any topic of interest - but the credentials have me very curious. This is evidence that he knows his time is up. Needs to be explored further.

John, I listened to both this interview and the one with Jordan, as well as your brother Isaac's. It was shocking and heartbreaking to hear what you've been through. I am so sorry for what you and your other siblings experienced and still experience. I was once a follower of your dad and the New IFB. I believe I was saved back in 2015 through Roger Jimenez's Gospel presentation after the New World Order Bible Versions film back, and worked to spread their message on my KZitem channel through sermon excerpts and translating and subtitling their documentary films, but after Jason Robinson's debate with James White and the Donnie Romero incident with its aftermath in 2018/2019, I came to realize what that movement truly is about and shortly thereafter abandoned it for a Reformed Baptist view. Repenting of that fundamentalist beliefs and mindset and the pride I had felt like I was saved all over again in the Summer of 2019... And I haven't been the same since. To this day it terrifies me that I once held their publicly stated and preached views of marriage and parenting. Obviously, I had no idea what was happening within the family, but the thought alone that such views and beliefs could lead to such domestic abuse saddens me deeply, and this is one of the main things I always thank God for delivering me from. To think I could have become like that brings tears to my eyes... Thank you so much for speaking out. I hope this shakes New IFB followers up, and brings courage and deliverance to true followers of Christ stuck there. May God bless you and keep you John.

@File001 did anderson lead you to calvinism with his laxed stance saying that dane Johansson was saved, and subsequently doing a documentary with him?
@File001
6 күн бұрын
@@donut132 No. I started listening to James White after his debate with Jason Robinson, in which standard IFB arguments against Calvinism presented by Robinson were answered, and for the first time I actually listened for myself to a Reformed theologian exegeting the text (and faithfully and consistently so, without jumping around the Bible), rather than relying on IFB pastors' misrepresentations of Reformed theology in their sermons. I entered that debate rooting for Robinson, but left it with a big "Hmmmm". And that whole Dividing Line program before the debate itself with Jeff Durbin answering New IFB slander against them, really started opening my eyes. And the Donnie Romero scandal which erupted a matter of weeks thereafter, with the whole aftermath, did not help their cause. At the time that documentary was released in the Summer of 2019, and Anderson having to defend his cooperation with Dane Johannsson, I had already concluded that James White and Calvinists believe and preach the same Gospel I believed as a New IFB follower, of justification by Christ's righteousness imputed to us faith alone, apart from works, and eternal security of the believer, i.e. perseverance in saving faith in Christ alone (I still did not go into the specifics of Reformed theology, the doctrine of election and so forth), so I was actually glad to see this cooperation. But immediately I asked a question: if Johannsson as a Calvinist is saved, and he believes James White is saved, then on which basis does Anderson (and the rest of the New IFB) condemn White as a reprobate Gospel-denying heretic, while considering Johannsson a brother in Christ? Johannsson and White agree in their Reformed theology. So that inconsistency (yes, hypocrisy) was really blatant. And to this day Anderson has that cognitive dissonance, despite me hoping at that time that that cooperation would have a positive impact on the New IFB. Sadly, it didn't. During the Fall and Winter of 2019 I was listening more to specifically Reformed theology from James White (and others), and sound biblical answers to errors of Arminianism and Pelagianism (all of which New IFB repeats, despite their claim of not being Arminians), which convinced me to affirm Reformed theology. So, to answer your question: not directly, but it did help me go furhter into that direction on the way.

@File001 gotcha, and youre 💯 correct that anderson cannot explain how dane is saved but james white or durbin isnt. Its because he doesnt understand calvnism at a base level. As an anderson follower, after he and dane yoked up i had a huge influx of calvnist facebook friend request and they tried their hardest to recruit me, yet it did the opposite. It made me actually understand calvnism , and reject andersonism at the same time. Ive met a few guys who were ex nifb that became calvnism (mostly by the behavior of nifbers online) . I dont care about your calvnism btw im not here to argue about , i feel anderson's style of preaching and claiming he is teaching "hard truths" have made his flock vulnerable to reformed theology.

This is so sad; but I knew it would happen. Steven Anderson calls the church I pastor, the "Trash Can Church". He turned on me after he changed a doctrine, and I didn't follow him lock-step. I never followed him. I merely tried to befriend him because he was more right on doctrines than most preachers I know. But I saw the potential for abuse, and hoped that my friendship would result in him growing in grace a little. He cut me off, so I ket him go his own way. I was doing just fine before I met him! I hope John heals. The worst thing he could do, though, was to call DCS. They are very corrupt. Let God correct and chastise His servants. Keep church and state separate in their respective powers. Trust the Lord to bring about justice, mercy, truth and healing!

False. When the law is broken, the law should be brought in. We are to obey the laws of the land over us unless they completely contradict the scripture which in Arizona they do not they allow for corporal punishment. What this boy experience was excessive and what his wife has experienced should not happen at all. This right here is what is wrong. Did you not hear him say that he tried multiple times in person to talk to his parents? He tried multiple times to bring his argument and it fell on deaf ears. Stop blaming the young people for this and look to the abusive parents or elders. Judgment begins in the house of God and that’s what’s happening right now. All of these blow-hards are going to get what’s coming to them. It is God using this young man and some of these channels to bring about the judgment. He uses people FYI.
