This is the first time I've actually watched a clip of this series. Big fan of the later "Home Movies" and of H. Jon Benjamin. What really strikes me about this, besides just the fact that they let Steven Wright be Steven Wright in a perfect foiling manner, is how respectful the treatment of the clinical atmosphere is. Dr. Katz sounds like an actual therapist. It's high time I actually watch this series.

I would imagine that this is even funnier if you see a doctor, lol. When I was a kid in NYC, my family had me take a Rorschach test from a "college student" studying to be a "shrink." As an adult I realize now they wanted to know if I was like crazy Stephen Wright!

@@bradleyanderson8311 if you mean as patients then yes. If you mean like as the new Dr Katz and Ben then no. I love Shane Gillis but you need someone less alpha and cool. Shane is all about "the boys". You need a neurotic cast. Guys like Mark Normand. Now for sure Shane would make a great guest but you would need weirdos and less alpha comedians to play dr katz and ben. I think Mark Normand could pull off a Dr katz'esque character It's a bonus Dr Katz always makes puns and corny jokes too. . Ik he's older than Mark so it sounds weird but Dave atel would be a good ben because to me Dave is that "cool loser" type like Ben

3:35 Oka that is weird. I was relating to this guy the whole episode, and the he said this. I've had this memory of when I was just a baby being put into my crib. I clearly thought the sentence "But I don't want to go to bed yet". Now I'm suspecting the showwriters got my shrink's case on me.
