I love rush but I never got to see them live I got to see the Pat Travers Band live right before Crash and Burn came out and the lineup was Tommy Aldridge on drums Cowling on bass and Pat Thrall... that lineup was the tightest band I've ever seen in concert and they put on the best show I was ever privileged to see, the musicianship was just incredible... I've seen Van Halen, Aerosmith,Ted, Boston, REO, Sammy, Sabbath,Journey, E.L.O.,etc. They opened for Foghat whom I'd already seen twice before. Foghat opened with Stoned Blue, I asked my girl if she minded if we split before the song was even over, and she just smiled and shook her head... Pat and P. Thralls duel leads were so spotless it's a shame they couldn't stay together. I remember reading a guitar mag interview with some sidemen including Thrall, Vivian Campbell, and I think Dave Manniketti, and Brad Gillis, where I think I remember Thrall saying that it had something to do with Pat's huge ego. As a 57 y/o player since the age of 12 myself I of course can't imagine that... still o' shame ; the best show I ever saw. During Tommy's solo after about 10 or 12 minutes of beating on the set with the sticks he threw those out to the crowd played another 5 or so with his hands. I never got to see Palmer or Peart so... Dude was incredible...

52, grew up listening to PT. Great to read that people know talent and class. Pat Travers didnt get all the credit he deserves. Touches my musical heart that we can give credit here now. Pat is a very skillfull guitarist and songwriter. All in on every note! I love that! Thank you Pat Travers for your music! Colorado is here and listening still...for life.

An actual rock singer that has vocal chops and can actually sing. Pats vocal abilities are always overlooked.

One of the best rock and roll bands I've ever seen I saw them open up for ACDC on the Highway to Hell Tour and then saw Pat Travers in Florida several times after that, Pat Travers is a true legend, one of the best rock and roll composers, singers, frontman to ever front a rock and roll band, thank you Pat Travers for everything you have done for us in this rock and roll world

This is one of those rare artists that slipped through the cracks. His live shows are so true and most people don't know that.

One of the first blues rock guitarists, if not, the first.

I own Pat's pink strat now an we've used it in studio several times. It IS magical. At 6:41 the real meat of its tone can be heard. Pat is truly a legendary guitarist and has influenced countless players and artists alike. Cheers!

Like i mentioned on a reply Pat in the late 70s early 80s was my favorite guitarist .i met him once at the Legendary Fern Park Station (Orlando Area) when i wasn't even old enough to be in the joint (17 but looked older Lol) saw him In Daytona Beach (twice) once at the Peabody Auditorium .and once during Spring break at the Old Plaza Hotel Ballroom along with Aldo Nova (for free i might ad) and at least once at the Lakeland Civic Center .His live Record "Go For What You Know" is in a tie for my favorite Live record of all time along with Judus Priest "Unleashed In The East" Randy's Tribute Album too.Rhoads was another unbelievably talented guitarist .after seeing him in 81 at Tampa's Curtis Hixon Hall i turned into a Randy Rhoads fanatic .also had tickets to see them again with Fournier in March 82 at the Tangerine Bowl but he got killed the day before in Leesburg on his way to the Festival .Pat living in Orlando at the time offered to fill in for Ozzy with less than a 24 hour notice .A Real Class Act for Pat to do .Have to admit it was a sad concert but seeing Pat again was the highlight of the Show .So yeah ive seen PTB more times than any other band and he never failed to impress .Thanks Pat for the music that inspired me and helped lay down my musical roots
