I fully agree. This and I Wish are my stars on this album, endlessly infectious. I had been a fan of Golden Lady previously, which this seems to be the next evolution of. But, all this is just words. The enjoyment of this tune goes past any expression or description. And yes, full of gems to keep finding.... Gonna listen to it again :-)

Everything about this song is spectacular. The brass section, the back-up singers, and Stevie at his very best. He played the drums, as well. Fantastic.

Absolutely! I had this album when it came out, and to this day I am astonished at how many fantastic pop songs are on it. And all the songs were completely different from each other, but they all fit with the sound of the LP. Pure artistic vision IMO

First heard this on Radio 1 in Sept 1977 and can't believe it got no higher than number 29 in the charts - it's a great track, one of Stevie's best!!

the reason why songs like this are so great is that they're NOT massive hits. If this was played tiredlessly like other tunes we'd be sick of it, that's why you could listen to this all day, every day. Just think of it as a gem that not many know about. So, I for one am truly grateful this wasn't a MASSIVE hit. I have lots of truly great songs that I prefer to keep to myself, Enjoy!

tmac625 I am! This classic along with his other classic albums never get old! I remember when this song was introduced in 1977 in New York. I fell love with it then as a young teen, and the love continues into my 50's. A true legend. You can see the passion in every song he sings and plays. Look at the facial expressions in each clip of this video.

There is a very faithful House version by the illustrious Kathy Sledge (93’ ish) which is also great, but this original is just ridiculously good. People will still talk about Stevie 100 years from now. A true superstar.
