BUTTERFLIES BEGIN FROM HAVING BEEN ANOTHER AS A CHILD IS BORN FROM BEING IN A MOTHER'S WOMB BUT HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU WISHED YOU WERE SOME OTHER, SOMEONE THAN WHO YOU ARE YET WHO'S TO SAY IF ALL WERE UNCOVERED, YOU WILL LIKE WHAT YOU SEE YOU CAN ONLY BE YOU, AS I CAN ONLY BE ME. FLOWERS CANNOT BLOOM UNTIL IT IS THEIR SEASON, AS WE WOULD NOT BE HERE UNLESS IT WAS OUR DESTINY...BUT HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU WISHED TO BE IN SPACES, TIME PLACES THAN WHAT YOU WERE YET WHO'S TO SAY WITH UNFAMILIAR FACES YOU COULD ANYMORE BE. Keith john was A BACKUP SINGER o tour with Stevie in those years. ...he was hired to sing this song for school daze. Also, Keith John's version was a recording, this is a "live performance" Who performs it better shouldn't be an argument. it's sung in the same key and similar vocal tone.
@100AmazingFacts

I always thought Keith John sounded like Stevie. Now I know why.
@olewollberg1962
2 жыл бұрын
@@100AmazingFacts There is even more to know about that: When Stevie started to develop his original style he was told by the label bosses to listen to Little Willie John's singing to try to sound more like him. So John became an important influence. Keith John is Little Willie's son... So Keith's and Stevie's styles each in their own ways have been very much influenced by the same singer long before they first met. So this is not an accidental match. This story really blew my mind because I had been wondering how it could be that Stevie had a backing singer sounding quite the same as he. People always talk about Stevie's tremendous impact on every kind of music which is obvious. But it's also very interesting to listen to his roots and major orientations, such as Little Willie John. You'd be surprised how much contemporary RnB is already to be found in John's 50s career.

People should type/write/speak for knowledge. The connection between Stevie and Keith John is greater than boss/employee....leader/backup singer. "Little" Stevie Wonder was primarily given to him due the success of a pre-Motown/pre-Barry Gordy singer from Detroit named Little Willie John. Willie John's youngest son is Keith John. There is agape -- Father/Son/"Uncle"/Big Brother love with this connection. One Love.

Keith is a master (and better than many established successful current vocalists of his genre). But Stevie is Grand master! To a die hard fan, even his faults are acceptable because as well as a vocalist, he is also instrumentalist and inspirationalist. The originator will always carry a greater degree of merit. Compare Beatles' & Michael Jacksons' "Come Together" or Beatles' & Earth, Wind & Fires' "Got To Get You Into My Life"......😎😉💖
