Never believed in any god, but here frankly, after 50 years listening to this guy, again and again, I wonder..🤔.

Someone pointed out to me that the songs on this album are the best Stevie has ever written- the melodies, the chords, the grooves

Some serious sick wicked ass drum breaks! I remember the first time I played this when it was first released. We were all just completely blown away that Stevie still had songs like this up his sleeve. After all Songs had been released just a few years before. Such an incredible talent. The song is PERFECTION!

James Boyd. No it wouldn’t it was way before it’s time. Donna summer would have ate this shit up. Great song but not a number one for fall 1979

It's amazing that Stevie has so much work not heard on main stream. Most of his work done after Songs in the Keys, I think some of his best work was after 1976. All of His works are a Masterpiece. The Master Blaster Jammin.

You have the right spirit, but really, the early 70's were his critically most acclaimed period musically. He was in a near fatal car crash in N.C after Fulfillingness First Finale and even though he recovered and cut Songs in The Key..he was definitely looked down on for Secret. Prince said it best years later, when he was in the Parade, Cherry Moon period, that artists get chewed up for 'experimenting" at first but later everyone takes a positive attitude about it. There is nothing in Characters/Square Circle/Jungle Fever that comes close to the synergy of Stevie with the ARP synthesizer, clavinet and that voice/harmonica in the early 70's.

He smashed it with the metallic terminator 2 down the throat matrix Stevie has no parallel listen to Sylvia imagine Simon Cowell if he hears that or one of the birds they'd cry and say look man we found you you have changed our lives what do you want us to do this show is all about you. The other acts would not be worthy to come on and their deluded families would say watch your just karaoke this is the one you listen and just be a fan and listen to the best if him online

Crazy how some of his best songs weren't released as singles. Isn't She Lovely wasn't released originally as a single and the demand from the public forced that song into being released as a single. How great an artist is when he has a boatload of songs that should've been singles.
