That movie brings back so many childhood memories. I was. 11 and all of us kids from the hood went and auditioned. 1 of us got a part. The kid behind ponyboy and Cherry in the concession stand the one with the leather jacket on who was one of my childhood friends. The guy who owned the house Ponyboy and his brothers lived in was named Lewis Priest. He was my dad's boss. He owned a body shop behind the house. They paid all of the workers 3 weeks pay to not make any noise during filming. I went to the same high school as the author go Rogers Ropers! The school in the backdrop where they were chasing the little kids used to be Lowell School where my mother went to school.. The 80s were the days. Everyone says that their generation was best but the 80s were pretty awesome! I should have reread my comment because there were some errors in the spellings but the people who left a like were able to know what I was trying to say

I was in Tulsa, Oklahoma during the summer of 1982 when this movie was filmed. I recall being unable to run down Riverside due to the filming.

I dedicated the song and the poem from Robert Frost, in the film. Will always miss my grandfather we were close super close as grandson and grandfather for 9 years and even longer before he moved back here to California, and I must say that I was happy to have spent as much time as I did before he passed away, and the term I feel of song is about loss and knowing to deal with it which can be very hard thing to have to go through. I also dedicated the character’s attributes in this film Ponyboy’s since he is reader and likes to watch films because, that’s what my grandpa did for his last 9 remaining years as I got to know him better. Man do I miss him.
