Love this blower, it’s amazing, so much power, wet leaves aren’t an issue at all anymore, it still blows a bigger amount of wet leaves like it’s nothing, it is a little heavier than the past 800, atleast to me, but the power behind this thing is a beautiful thing, haha, but it is a lot comfier than the older ones, and love the side pull cord, after it’s warmed up, you don’t have to take it off anymore to start it, I have long enough arms I never did with the older ones, but it’s definitely nice to have it where it’s at now. This blower is definitely worth the money, you will be very pleased with the power of this thing, makes quick work of blowing my yard

I own the Husqvarna 580bts too. Great blower for sure. The Sthil BR 800X has more blowing force for sure. Like them both, Sthil wins IMO with less weight and the throttle is in line with the tube. I don't like how Husqvarna designed that at all. I think the 580bts model was updated on that. Both are a good choice.

I got one of these. It gets used heavy duty daily commercial use. It's pretty good and reliable. Only issues i've found are that after about 12 months, you might have straps starting to fray and break. And also, when you have to warm start it, it can be difficult to start unless its put on 1/2 choke You also need to 'work' the pull cord to get the piston in the right position. So it will crank and start. Otherwise you can just keep pulling the cord forever and it'll never start Overall I would say its ok. I have also used the Shindaiwa EB770 and would rather shell out a bit extra for that, its much easier to start, more comfortable and more solid for daily commercial use

Surprisingly the 800x recoil as significantly lighter and the plus to me was having a regular starter, not the easy2start system. i have only had redmax 8500 blowers i went out on a limb and bought one of these.. things i like are the comfort and the more narrowed down blowing, seems to be more pinpoint as well as the engine is much more quiet. The blower has failed to start i cant tell you how many times, the thought of how many more moving parts it has being a "4 stoke" style engine is going to be more on the wallet over time than a normal two stroke, and that stupid little plastic wire harness thing that clips onto the machine for the throttle wiring constantly pops off since day one causing the harness to keep pinching my forearm, i ended up using a large zip tie to prevent it from coming off again.. there has been many times ive just put it back in the trailer and pulled out a 8 year old redmax that hasnt run in a year that always starts and gets the job done. The fuel tank is not big.. the redmax will run for a straight hour on a full tank, my guys always pick on me cause i " cant get the job done" but hey not bad for 650.00.... wont buy another one but its comfy

I have a 450 electric start and would love the magnum but not sure I can live in without that great feature any more. So good when people cone to talk to me in site or when I just need to stop for pedestrians, I'm willing to forego that additional CFM for the electronic starts but side start intrigues me.. Is there really that much more power in the Magnum or am I best off sticking with the 450?
@WesternEquipment
3 жыл бұрын
So the two big differences between these two are blowing for (450=28 Newton : 800=41 Newtons) and CFM (450=642 :800=912) The side start is a really good option and it is a super comfortable machine to wear. The 800 also has a larger fuel tank adding 10 oz. of fuel capacity if that means anything to you. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Very good video. I’m an echo fanboy and have not used this blower. I know STIHL makes good products but seems like there is just too much adjustability with this unit. Which dealer is best to purchase Still products from for the best sales service parts and maintenance? Liked Subscribed & Shared
@WesternEquipment
4 жыл бұрын
The warranty period depends on the usage. So if it is bought as homeowner usage it should have a standard 2-year warranty that can be extended to a 4-year by the purchase of either Stihl MotoMix or the Ultra Oil Mix. If it is commercial use I think it is only a 1-year warranty. On where to buy, in our area for parts and service it is generally better to buy from a John Deere dealership but I'm not sure what kind of parts inventory is kept on hand in your area and if the hardware stores have a technician or not. I would ask the places you are looking at buying from and see if they have a technician on site for service and if they keep parts on hand. I hope this was helpful. Thanks for watching!

@@WesternEquipment It starts and runs perfectly fine, idles fine, no clicking or sounds but when you press the off switch, as it’s shutting down you hear like three or four clicks almost sounds like valve sticking... could just be the way the engine is. Mine is brand new that was my first time using it and I’m using Moto mix. At 15:20 yours seems to make same sound, 3 ticks it sounds like

@@michaelholly88 Going back and watching it I definitely hear it. I'm sure that is how they all are. I used that blower a few more times after this demo was done and it has been just fine. Good catch though and thanks for watching!

@@WesternEquipment I appreciate you responding back and the insight. Its been a while since I have used gas equipment, I was using ego battery 0PE, decided to go back to gas because I’m doing a little extra work that warrants the need for longer run time and extended use. Once it warms up a bit I’ll get to use it more, so far very happy though.

Bro, I though that blower had 240 Out the nozzle? STIHL better fix their website if your right.

240 is the Max Velocity. I should have mentioned that too but I only mentioned the average velocity which is 199. Good catch and thanks for watching!

They should really put an electric start on one of these things, that would work even better, especially if combined with the semi automatic choke

Que diferencia hay entre la 600 y esta 800?
@WesternEquipment
3 жыл бұрын
La diferencia es que el 800 tiene más fuerza, más salida de aire y más caballos de fuerza. El 800 también es un poco más pesado que el 600.

Where can I add engine oil?
@WesternEquipment

You do not have to add engine oil. The machine runs on oil and gas mixture.

Is it possible to actually start it without having it on your back?

Yes, it’s possible. It’s not easy but it’s not hard to do.

Yes you can start it either way. The side start just makes it more convenient so you don't have to take it off to start.

What type of oil do i add
@WesternEquipment

It needs to be a 50:1 mixture. I recommend using the Stihl Ultra mix oil that comes in a silver bottle. Thanks for watching!

Was never the most powerful the echo 8010 and now 9010 rain Supreme they need to make a br900 asap i love sthil but ive converted over my blowers out of 12 br800 ive kept 3 for my install crews and bought 14 new 9010's back in October they are basically double the strength and use 2/3 more fuel or around 45 mins per tank of gas. I use 93 octane with the opti oil so i can run one fuel across the sthil and echo and really all brands the sthil run cleaner now and seem to rev better than the swamp water ultra i was using but i was also using 87 octane as well.

In the UK it's RRP is £792! That is very expensive. I've spoken to a couple of people who have one & they say it has great power but the build quality is shit! I went for the Husqvarna 580 bts, it's £100 cheaper and I've found it to be excellent! Not knocking Stihl by any means, the Stihl's I have a fantastic, my HS81R'S is a freaking legend!

I have heard a couple of comments about build quality and I'm not sure where that stems from. We have multiple customers that use these blowers for cleanup on their farms and use them often and have no complaints. But Husqvarna makes good equipment so I bet you're in good hands. improper start pulling the cord, not in line with stihl recommendation. Also, no safety goggles or hearing protection. Overall very bad representation of how to use a blower safely.
