Tighten the chain that will help it not jam so much and cut better. Very loose in video can be seen at around 8 minute mark or bit after. Cheers for review though.

Seems every Stihl is three pulls cold and one pull warm.

It doesn't look right cutting that wood. I have a ms400 with a 20 inch bar and it's so fluid.

@gunterbecker8528 no issues with the 400. I had a 391 prior to this. The 400 is lighter, more powerful and just feels good cutting. You won't be disappointed in the 400.

Gas ....... comes with a 25" bar. Upgrade to the 32", not only for bigger wood but you can mostly stand up straight and buck. Your back will love you for it. Had mine for about 3 years now. About 3 months in watched a video from Buckin' Billy Ray about running long bars mainly for that reason. Bought one, won't ever go back. This isn't a "pruner' saw so just be aware you will need a shorter bar or, preferably (like me), a smaller saw for the light work. I also have the bark box which is the best bolt on accessory you can get, followed by a set of Pro-Safety Felling Dogs and a chain catcher (all from Westcoast Saws). On cold start it will almost always need 3 to 4 pulls, it's the nature of Stihl. The proper start procedure is choke on, pull until the saw "burps", pop the throttle to release the choke to run, pull until it starts (usually about 2 or 3 pulls), let saw warm up for about a minute before going to work. Use the best bar and 2-stroke oil you can get, ALWAYS run ethanol free gas, do your maintenance, take care of this machine and it will last the rest of your life. Good, informative video.
