Hi Folks
The springs in centrifugal clutches often break and the easiest way to know if one is broken is how the chain on chainsaws, and the disc on disc cutters, the blades on a hedge trimmer, etc, keep moving on tick over when it should have stopped, or when your pulling the engine over the disc/chain/blades/etc move.
On many machines, the other side of the pull cords crankshaft, a left handed thread is used as it’s “self tightening” e.g. Stihl leaf blower fan nut is left handed.
Lefty Tighty, Righty Loosey has to be remembered.
Also it was a light rubbing with the file to remove stubborn muck, not to remove metal.
I’ve also learnt about splitting audio from video and then reducing the volume so the chainsaw doesn’t blow your speakers/ears out when it’s running.
