If you wish to use the decorative arms, then the arm support cover cannot be used unless a longer down rod (at least 8”) is purchased. Keep in mind that the longer the down rod, the chance of fan wobble increases.

+Angela A Thanks for the comment. There are screws on bottom of the fan that you will need to remove. The first set hole in the decorative grill, and a set that hold oin the fan guard. You will need to remove the decorative caps that keep the screws hidden first to get to them. This is not the easiest fan to clean, but that is how you would do it

So my uncle installed one in me and my brothers room, it’s a windara 22” LED drum ceiling fan. Fan is great and a good amount of light but the fan doesn’t cut off nor the light with the control. Now the fan is stuck on and can’t turn it off unless I turn the whole light off. So if I want the fan working the light comes on. The control works as it shows the red light when I click the button but for some reason doesn’t do anything to the fan or light minus the very first use ever, after that nothing

Replaced the remote device in the fan and still does the same thing. Hooked it up directly to power and fan at high speed as well light so it is not my power. Getting frustrated on why it randomly turns off and on. Any suggestions out there as it is on a three way but not on a three way dimmer switch as I know that doesn’t work. Ready to remove it.

Hi, I was going to buy this last week from Home Depot but there were no reviews. I went back to just take the jump and buy it today and it says no longer available :( I might have missed this in the video but did you buy this from Home Depot or another retailer? 7 жыл бұрын
Hi Doc, I just reached out to the manufacturer of this to see when they will have it posted on the Depot site as this is where they will be selling it. They should be back in stock soon as they are trying to get this line going. As for noise, you will hear absolutely nothing if it is on low, maybe a bit of air flow on medium. If you have it on high, you will definitely hear it while trying to watch tv, but even the most quiet fans will still make sound as the air flow it's producing it what you are hearing. Long story short, this will be fine in the living room, just don't put it on high while watching tv

I have the same style original light as you had and I bought this very fan to replace the light. The current support box in my ceiling is plastic but the directions say to have a metal box installed for maximum support. Was your support box plastic as well? If so, do you recommend swapping it out for a metal one? I already purchase one but not sure how much trouble it's going to be to replace it. Thanks!
@ToolReviewZone
6 жыл бұрын
Hi Darrell, here are my thoughts on this. This fan is rather light, and does not put the strain on the box like a fan with larger blades would. There is also no swaying of the fan even when set to high. Would I go through all the trouble to replace the box for this fan.... no. That being said, I also like to go by what the manufacturer suggests. All in all, it would be your call, but I personally would not change it
@djhicks1976
6 жыл бұрын
Ok. Those were my thoughts too but was skeptical due to the manufacturer's recommendations. If yours is plastic and you haven't had any issues I don't see any reason to change mine either. Thanks again!

The instructions say, "Verify the DIP switches on the receiver and the remote control are both in the same configuration. NOTE: The switches can be adjusted as needed to avoid possible interference with other remote units in your home, but always make sure that the same configuration is set on both the remote and the receiver." If you have interference after installation look like you have to take the whole thing apart to change the dip switches. Not good!
