I actually heard this song as a background song in a CSI Vegas episode. The police officer takes the new born into her arms as the teen mom gets arrested. It reminded the officer of her own lost child. Its such a beautiful song now that chkd it out here. Moved to tears thinking about my childhood and happy times back then.❤

Don’t think thats a good example to arrest a teen mom, doesn’t help her outlook on life and reward her for having a child. When this song came out, we were all young... I can still hear the parties and see all the people that have come and gone. Looking back, these memories are perfectly represented in the lyrics of this haunting song. If the song was not so beautiful, I would have preferred to forget about all those long-gone times. Sometimes it hurts to remember. Being 63 is not the same as being 28. But then the melody starts, the memories appear, and one's eyes involuntarily try to focus on things that will never be seen again.

"Fields Of Gold" You'll remember me when the west wind moves Upon the fields of barley You'll forget the sun in his jealous sky As we walk in fields of gold So she took her love for to gaze awhile Upon the fields of barley In his arms she fell as her hair came down Among the fields of gold Will you stay with me? Will you be my love? Among the fields of barley We'll forget the sun in his jealous sky As we lie in fields of gold See the west wind move like a lover so Upon the fields of barley Feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth Among the fields of gold I never made promises lightly And there have been some that I've broken But I swear in the days still left We'll walk in fields of gold We'll walk in fields of gold Many years have passed since those summer days Among the fields of barley See the children run as the sun goes down Among the fields of gold You'll remember me when the west wind moves Upon the fields of barley You can tell the sun in his jealous sky When we walked in fields of gold When we walked in fields of gold When we walked in fields of gold Liverpool, NSW Sydney, Australia

I'd like to think I did not take many of our shared gifted moment's together for granted...while SADLY I was absent at the MOMENT of her passing from this lifetime!! Her passing prompted our family of 8 to fall in disarray...we are thankfully gradually reuniting as a loving bio family as we prepare now to "finally" bury both her and our Dad's ashes on Oct 7th 2022...thanks for listening in dear Willow 4, while I sense you will mutually care...namaste Babs A. With more than 100 breeds of barley, we can harvest this crop for flour and food rather than as fodder for cattle. Learn about sustainable farming to harvest healthy soil that fights C02 emissions.

Everyone must share in harvest time along with their neighbors and friends and family members who cleave together with both grain and chaff and must glean everything from the earth which supports life even until the end of all things the harvest will be served at God's table where every knee shall bow and every soul be humbled

According to my mum, as soon as I was born, that song was playing and she held me in her arms for the first time. I can certainly say January 3rd 2005 was the best day of her life for her ✨️

I started playing this song on guitar & singing to it when I was with my ex partner. Everytime I hear it I immediately start sobbing. Although I would say I have a practiced gift at poetry, I could never put into words what this song expresses and brings me in touch with. When we were in a bank together months after I had first played it and it already was a significant song for us, there was a TV playing music. Suddenly Fields of Gold was being played and we were baffled.

You'll remember me when the west wind moves Upon the fields of barley You'll forget the sun in his jealous sky As we walk in fields of gold So she took her love For to gaze a while Upon the fields of barley In his arms she fell as her hair came down Among the fields of gold Will you stay with me? Will you be my love? Upon the fields of barley We'll forget the sun in his jealous sky As we lie in fields of gold See the west wind move like a lover so Upon the fields of barley Feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth Among the fields of gold I never made promises lightly And there have been some that I've broken But I swear in the days still left We'll walk in fields of gold We'll walk in fields of gold Many years have passed since those summer days Among the fields of barley See the children run as the sun goes down Among the fields of gold You'll remember me when the west wind moves Upon the fields of barley You can tell the sun in his jealous sky When we walked in fields of gold When we walked in fields of gold When we walked in fields of gold

This reminds me of how I feel towards this particular person. She knows everything, how I feel ect. When I'm in a better mood this song sounds different. In a sad mood different as well. It's weird how music changes based on how you feel. When I go this will be my song along with a few others.
