I met my now wife back in late 2005, while we were both single travellers, meeting briefly , by chance , on a trip to Jordan, and walking Petra on Christmas Day... We eventually got together, and have since travelled the world, to more than 100 countries since... Our retirement has been a blast, influenced by my many years of guitar playing and singing. Always been a Sting fan, but more so as when my wife and I had some difficult years before getting together before I retired, a close friend gave us this song as 'our song' and it has been so ever since, and Ive had the privilege on a number of trips to be able to perform this to audiences, and especially dedicate it to her... Always our song, one of the best, from one of the best song-writers of the last few decades.... Happy memories... for ever.. !!

@@dorianagrayportraits9180 BIBLE calls us all to be real, sober minded souls, who live holy lives on earth. BIBLE calls nor expect nobody to be: - religious of any kind - monk - nun BIBLE expect us to turn our LACK OF KNOWLEDGE into KNOWLEDGE OF TRUTH (HOSEA 4:6) Each human life on earth: - repent - BORN AGAIN and GO AND SIN NO MORE - be baptised in HOLY SPIRIT /THE COMFORTER - LIVE HOLY = soul, after earthly death in HEAVEN. Easy logic, asks no degree in anything. Bible calls us to give out RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT, no to keep our mouth shut and support everything with blind eyes and deaf ears. See no evil, speak no evil and hear no evil - that old saying, it belongs to masons, am I right again? The vow of silence of theirs. Not only is the melody capable of taking you through a realm of nostalgia and comfort, it is also one capable of shaping your past and brings a certain tranquility through the art of lyricism. Thank you for holding such a big part to my childhood.

Your song, although tinged with sadness, conveys a message of hope and peace that resonates deeply within me. It has the power to remind us that even in the darkest times, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Your artistry and ability to capture such complex emotions is simply remarkable.

Fantastic song from one of the best albums of 1993! I bought it as a cassette tape 30 years ago, to play while driving around my 3 small children. I loved the entire tape so much that I played it from beginning to end, rarely skipping any of the songs. I wore out 2 copies of that cassette tape from constant play and eventually got it on cd. To this day, it’s one of my all-time favorite albums. Thanks for the music, Sting. ❤
