Wild food is real food for regular people! Let's find and cook a great lunch -- stinging nettles and morel mushrooms. These morels are the Landscape Morel, Morchella importuna. They grow in urban and suburban areas in wood chips. These stinging nettles are native to North America, Urtica gracilis. Some people call them the Slender Stinging Nettle. They don't have as many stinging hairs as the European stinging nettle, Urtica dioica, also known as the Common Stinging Nettle.
I show how to identify these two great wild foods, and then take them to the kitchen to make a wonderfully delicious wild lunch!
