Love this stitch and although I'm , I could follow along. Now, I need to know, could you join blocks of this? Is it scalloped on all sides?
@JuanTheYarnAddict

It is scalloped on all sides…moreso on top/bottom than left/right. In order to join a border would be needed. I may create a tutorial for this to help everyone :)

Hello Juan, can these shells be made of 7 or 9 double crochet to make a more prominent shell? I made a shawl ( triangle) many years ago. It looks like 3 dimension shells, it was beautiful. Someone taught me how to make it and I don't know who or how to do it. I've nights books but can't find the pattern anywhere. Let me know please. I love your channel!! Your mom is awesome too!!

Huh! What makes a stitch pet-friendly or not? Tendency to snag perhaps? I just think of natural fibers being safer and healthier than synthetic.
@katherinefilz
9 ай бұрын
@@shastahill I mean pet friendly as to if paws can easily get tangled in any gaps. Best fiber content would be great to know as I never thought of that part . So Thank you.
@shastahill
9 ай бұрын
Oh, thank you, Kathrine! Getting tangled was kind of what i was imagining yet poorly wording. I appreiate you filling me in and so thoughtfully sharing with the four-legged dears. Hobbii sells 100% recycled cotton yarn which i've been wanting to try. The price is nice, especially in quantity. Seems to me it could work well for such charity blankets, washing easily and whatnot. Btw, I recently bought my elderly cat a beautiful hand-knit, wool sweater. She seemed to appreciate the warmth, yet my rookie oversight became apparent the first night when she tried grooming her chest. Velcro tongues can felt wool fibers in no time, ha.

Hi Juan. Love this stitch. How do you border it if you make a blanket or is it not necessary?
@JuanTheYarnAddict

Border isn’t necessary…the texture on the edges is beautiful as is… but if you’d like, just one of many ideas for a border…you could do a shell border in all the jug handles along the edges.
