To embellish the bottom of a sashiko panel (designed by Susan Briscoe), I decided to use the Japanese mending technique called boro. I am stitching the pieces together with sashiko stitches. I use a long sashiko needle with big eye and kogin thread. You'll say that sashiko thread is for sashiko and kogin thread for kogin but if you want some thicker and fluffier stitches, I'll recommend you try the kogin thread 😉 You'll find everything you need on the website of Japanese Craft Center. Based in Amsterdam, I ship worldwide 👍
