I just installed mine today. I got a 19 svart. waking up the bike sound satisfying. I only did slip on muffler but Im already satisfied with just lv10 not to loud but still sounds good. hopefully youll love yours.

Thank you! I’m loving it so far. The taillights are the rage cycle turn signals kit that are for the 701 so I had to mod for them to fit, and my license plate is just taped under the seat with some 3m industrial automotive tape that’s meant for taping license plates to cars. Very sturdy.

If you want it even louder you can buy something to straight pipe the soundbox which is the big black box before the exhaust

Sometimes I wish it was a bit louder, but the videos I’ve seen of the straight pipe are obscenely loud. So loud that a lot of the people who do it, end up switching it back. But I’ve definitely thought about it!

@@testromoto oh I hear ya, I had a straight pipe and I could hardly hear it over my GoPro cause the wind noise was so bad every time lol, but I’m sure you can mount your mic In your helmet I just haven’t figured out how all the big KZitemrs do it 🤦🏻♂️

I mount an external recorder under the seat and then clap 3 times to match up the audio with the audio from the go pro in post production. That seems to work pretty well.

Hey Dalton! Yeah you need adaptors from rhino mounts to make them fit on the 2020 401. I know 2019 and before are different.

@@santiago-xd8771 it doesn't be exactely like this: a V4 R1 for example works better at 15k rpm, its high range, a V1 like this works better at maybe 8k rpm so 8k < 15k but 8k rpm for this bike is however the high rpm range. I talk as a 701 supermoto owner, I definitely know that the bike has her higher power in the high rpm range (about 8k rpm)

I use the bikes as commuters but on the road at high speed and do not want even the possibility to lost it (happened everything to me with the old bikes on the road since these 35 years on those. What about the cops? or similar regarding that enduro bike position of the plate? Husqvarna has a nice one but "unobtanium" yet. By the way, great videos. I am planning to do one may be with the 250 cause seems there are only Indian videos that do not cover some aspects and in an almost unintelligible English. Thanks

@@TheReverb1 gotcha, I haven’t had any problem with the police yet but it just depends on the police in your area. But trust me the plate won’t come off with that license plate. Read the description in the link if your worried about it falling off in crazy weather. Especially because a cars license plate is significantly heavier.

Honestly pretty much, the big difference is the idle sound and just a bit louder while riding which is hard to tell in video. Perfect for me though I didn’t want it too loud just a bit deeper sound.

Yeah like I said it’s small difference. But much easier to notice in person. The videos don’t do it justice. Now if you want to throw a decat pipe on there you’ll get a huge difference and a crazy loud sound!

@@baldilocks1914 From what I've seen in a few videos, getting rid of that huge canister for a straight pipe makes it sound better even with the stock muffler on.

Yeah, it's still a littl' 373cc engine but i swapped the stock exhaust on mine for a cheap fake akrapovic from Aliexpress and it's really nicer. Beafier in the low and mid range where the stock exhaust was really too quiet! ;)
