Love the video. I just started a 55 gallon with two tidal 75 HOB filters. Just no room for a sump where I am. Love your tank and hope it continues to do well.

Thanks! I dont have room for a sump either. Just got a gyre style pump for the tank. SPS that i got are growing already. My old roomate ended up with a tidal on his tank he loves it. Might look into getting one if one of these aquaclears ever bites the dust

Love it!! Can't wait to see what you add to it. I want to start a 75gal reef without a sump but have mixed feelings about it being a pain in the long run.

Only pain so far has been algae and red cyano.cyanocobalamin. hate cleaning thr HOBs though I will say.

Amazing video man!! I’m currently in the same position you where in there. I had a 38 gallon bow tank break on me yesterday. I had 36lbs of Marco dry rock like you had in your video. It’s been cycled the past 2 months. And 3 clown fish I was able to save. My question is the tank I bought today and I’m waiting for (10-13 days to come in) will my rock, and fish be ok or will I lose everything? And when I get saltwater filled in my new tank would everything survive also in a new tank unicycled? I don’t wanna lose rock and fish as it cost me 700$. I really appreciate some help here. And how long did you have your 75 gallon tank here running with the new water before you added your live stock? I REALLY appreciate your response man. And I just subbed :)

In the middle of a move so I had to get it done in one day. Usually I would've cycled the new one for at least a week before adding anything, but i had to add same day. Only lost one fish in the process. But since you already have established rock and media you should be able to get away with doing pretty quickly.

@@ztaquatics thank you for the reply so quickly! My tanks only young. But I did have the small clown fish of the 3 get his a$$ beat and he died 2 days ago. But I did add a yellow watchman goby captive bread into the tank yesterday with 10 more lbs of Marco rock to get some bacteria on it. I needed a descent amount of Rick for the new tank as it’s twice the size. But I must have a defect yellow watchman goby as he’s white/grey with a darker face. The store said he’s that colour cause he’s young and he should turn yellow lol. Should I also rinse my sand from my current tank before transferring it with my water to the new tank. The store told me to not rinse the sand as it’s newish and add all my water from my current tank into the new one along with mixing up the new 30-35 gallons of new water to fill the 75 gallon. I appreciate your willingness in helping me as this is a new hobby I enjoy and wanna succeed in.

@@Scott-cy6zv yes keep your old sand. It is full of beneficial bacteria. I did a tank transfer a while ago and used old tank water with new the rest of the way and worked out great.
