Amazing video! Was it shot with phase-contrast microscopy? On an epidermal strip? I'm taking videos of stomatal movement on an intact leaf with a regular light microscope, but the contrast is low, probably due to thick mesophyll scattering lights all over and eliminating the contrast between the background and focal plane. I hope you could give me any advice. It would be greatly appreciated.

this video gives me some serious destructive urges. I have no idea why, its just that every time I see it it makes me wanna go get a leaf, buy a microscope and some tweezers, put the leaf under the microscope and force the stoma open with the tweezers. I have no idea why I want to do it, but I won't be satisfied until it is done.
