That was awesome. I love that slow LFO on the lead (¿and the chords too?), giving it that detuned sound. At first I felt the drums were too low, but by the end, it fits very well to have them a little softer. :)

Which is why I hate MIDERA so much!! 😢😢😢😢 I have the exact same machine, and it will never produce sounds even CLOSE to what he is able to coax from his. It's all so tragic, and it's MIDERA's fault! You hear me!!? Wahhhhhhh!!! Seriously though, MIDERA is my hero. I might have as much talent as he's got in his left pinky finger. Maybe if I spent as much time playing with my MX as I do watching KZitem videos of others playing theirs... ~sigh~ 🤷♂️

Lol - that’s a nice sentiment, but I really don’t think that’s true! There’s a massive lack of talent over here, I assure you! I should pull out the EMX and see what I could do today with it...

Crazy that I haven't heard this before. This groove moves. Could I use it for an intro for my church's livestream? I always put credits and song info. Thanks for sharing your work.

Ah, mod delay, that explains why it was only pitch shifting on the repeats. ;) Nope, but I always daydream about owning one. I keep waiting for a new one to come out (since the EMX has been around for 10 years now). Then I figure I'll get the old model for cheap, haha. Wishful thinking since Korg seems to just be doing presets updates to all their existing hardware these days (besides the mini analog gear of course).

Yeah, I bought this after I (stupidly) sold my Korg Radias. They had the same 'engine' supposedly, but they sounded nothing alike. I couldn't bring myself to sell this, so I started seeing what I could do with it. I liked a lot of what I could do, but it isn't as fun of a groovebox for melodies as my Spectralis or the Monomachine. Still, it's a pretty fun groovebox anyway. Best used as a drum machine honestly.

@@MIDERA You sold your Radias?!?! Oh, no. I'm holding on to both my EMX and my Radias, no matter what. Monomachine = $$$$!

I had sold my Radias. Bought another one... which has had lots of problems, lol. At least with the encoders. The one I sold has still been working great for its owner, yay.

Haha, YT is so dumb sometimes. Spam, matching third party content, etc. Oh well. Yeah, and like I said, midi-sync the 303 and the EMX. The ultimate combo! ;)

I love it. I use it sometimes as a drum synthesizer and you can get some really cool sounds out of it. As an 'all in one' music device? I'd rather go with an RS7000 or MC series (there are newer products on the market too). Another great device (in my opinion, a really good device) is the Monomachine. Depends on what you're after. I've heard good things with the E2, but never used one.

I like the fact that you don't need to really know how to play in order to create music on it. just have a feeling, know how to find the sounds and change the frequencys and hit the record button. I'll look at the others you suggested thanx

I really don't think that's true with the ESX. Heck, I don't think that's true of most of this gear. Sure, you can just play some notes and they'll be alright, but half of the stuff I've written on my ESX sounds like shit. It's easier for it to turn out like crap than for it to sound good. I think you'd want something that can sequence within scales if you want something where you don't need to know what you're doing to create music. The ESX does have the arpeggiator and can work within scales... but to make that sound good? Still takes work. I think even the monomachine is easier to work with than the ESX. It's just that none of these options are just simple. If people make it look easy... they've spent a lot of work making it appear that way.

Yeah - Just didn't want you to barrel forth expecting this to provide instant results. I almost sold this 50 different times I couldn't get anything out of it. Finally decided I liked it.
