Hey Geoffrey, you might not respond. I've binge watched a lot of your vids, gaining perspective and pursuing genuine change, me and my wife have been separated for almost 6 months now. We've been intimate twice now, really passionate, and you can tell there's still an emotional connection there, the stone walling continues tho, not as much however, I'm trying to persist she reaches out more and we communicate much more, however she really stone walls subtly about the core issues, but hints at things she's been trying to tell me if I assume right for example sending me horoscope flaws about my Taurus sign and stuff lol but I praise and try to have more phone calls to talk about it more, but maybe im not approaching it right, looking to download your free guide on communication seen like 2 of your master classes and looking to view one yet again tonight, I've been applying the metal shifts in my life generally really trying to transform and make it a way of life, wish I could afford your program, question though. What are your thoughts on intimacy while seperated?

I got my wife to open up and now we are great, but at times she gets upset and tells me how much she doesn’t like me. It took me by surprise at first since things seemed great for months, but I am sticking to what I can do and it’s understanding where she is coming from. If she hates me for the pain I caused all I can do now is understand why. She does say the occasional, never happening again, friends for the rest of our lives and she feels I will meet someone else, but again all I can do is understand and acknowledge. Because unlike before I see things from her perspective. I wouldn’t want to forgive me either with what I have done lol

All of your stonewalling videos offer great ways to deal with a partner who stonewalls. No questions asked. However, I have to ask, why is it okay for someone to stonewall their partner? How is stonewalling a valid and effective communication style? I can't see how purposefully ignoring someone for hours or days at a time is an acceptable course of action in an adult relationship. Why aren't they working on their stonewalling or learning methods to communicate effectively when they get upset? They can sit and sulk and ignore their partner, and this is acceptable? I don't think so. It's fine for a 5 year old, but not for an adult. I accidentally bumped into my wife when she was passing by me in the kitchen, a bit roughly too, to be honest, so I readily apologized and asked if she was okay, I openly stated that I was in the wrong and that I would be more careful, it was a complete accident. And I never run into her like that, I'm not clumsy or anything. This is a first time occurrence. She proceeded to ignore me for almost 2 days after that. I asked if she fed our daughter that night, or if I should feed her dinner, and my wife just ignored me and glared forward at the wall. Now my daughter is at risk because my wife shuts down and won't communicate with me. For days. Life doesn't stop because you're upset. Accidents happen, and we move on. That's what being an adult is. Communication has to stay open. I feel like stonewallers need to grow up, learn to communicate in a positive fashion, and stop behaving like children. Rather than making their partners go to ridiculous lengths to get them to calm down, feel safe, and open up. It seems to me that stonewallers need to work out their issues and learn how to effectively communicate by overcoming their mental roadblocks. Catering to their toxic and destructive communication style does not seem like the right choice to me.

Well based on his other videos, he teaches what is it to have an emotional bulletproof vest, which essentially means to develope the ability to be able to manage your emotions so that when there's conflict in your relationship, you don't act badly and all bend out of shape, Geoffrey is trying to mold men to the leaders of their relationship so that they can become that unshakable rock for their partners and also the mentalities you should have to be able to establish the 5 pillars he talks about, emotional safety, physiological safety, mutual admiration, goal alignment, and finally sexual passion which comes naturally after the previous pillars are established. However you can only be that if you don't adopt a victim mentality or blame your partners character

Great content. I'm shocked you don't have a ton more views. Thanks for the advice. Here's one for your channel: add a bit of soft back-lighting to your videos. You'll be amazed how much the quality jumps and it's easier on the eyes this will be for viewers. Thanks! (sub'd)

This is alot of care for someone who, by definition, is not giving the relationship any effort due to their own safety. The person who is trying to communicate should not have to give limitless to understanding someone's point of view who won't even engage in the relationship.

Yes, but if you want to have the same safe place in the relationship when you do wrong, is it not what love is about? Patient and see is the long way, if you learn to deal with problems they dont come up year after year you move futer!!! More love and think we all are monsters, you aswell so give patient you want when you are bad, you have to give that aswell and thats true love❤️🤗✨

It's more about becoming such person. So either the current or the next partners will find you irreplaceable. Think about it: do you slack on your outside looks, gym routine or makeup because there are plenty man who are not groomed, overweights and don't put any effort in their appearance? No, you don't. You show up as your best self and attract such people. Without your effort you would never attract and keep like-minded people around.

Watch these videos differently than you watch videos from other people. You have to catch everything. Take it from someone else that if you apply what he says it does work. It works wonders

Even if I move past feeling like stonewalling = they don’t care about what I’m saying or thinking or feeling, I’m still hurt by the fact that they don’t trust me or they don’t feel safe with me. I didn’t do anything to break that trust. That’s their old baggage but it still hurts that they don’t see me as someone who has their best interest at heart and they see me as someone who they need to protect themselves from. How do you get past that?

My boyfriend continuously stonewalls me time and time again no matter how hard I try and do things right and provide a safe environement. Its exhausting to do all the emotional weightlifting, especially while being the one to experience tough life events. He knows he had to get a therapist or counsellor but he hasnt even tried to find one while i actively go to my own counselling. I've expressed time and time again it is not okay and to at least check in and message me in some form. It came out of nowhere this time and im so done, it feels like abuse and I don't deserve this. He says im the only girl he could ever be honest with and be himself, but the affects of his stonewalling is continuing to negatively impact my life. I think sometimes you have to learn to just walk away..... I think telling people to thank someone for stonewalling is extremely toxic advise. Its not authentic and honouring how you feel, and the issue to stonewalling is that they will even verbally confirm they didnt care about how you feel or your emotions in the process of them doing it. Thats actually terrible and horrific information to come from a partner.
@adebolaA1

As someone who struggles with stonewalling, it depends on the person who is stonewalling and why. I do it because I don't want to raise my voice or indulge in conflict. It's a trauma response for me because I've been told and have seen that conflict will cause rift in relationship. But some conflict is good as well. You have to advise your partner to get therapy before you give up on them. That way you can see the intent of their stonewalling. Some people it may come from narcissism, some it can come from a father wound or what they were taught as a kid. I do agree that if someone refuses to change or admit what they are doing, then you should probably leave.

geoffrey i wish i could explain the whole situation to you but my partner who i’ve been with for 2 and a half years has always stonewalled and i have always said comments about it like “you shut down when we have problems we need to fix, you can’t do that” i have watched literally so many of your videos today and i realize i’ve been going about it wrong however, last week she told me she can’t do this anymore and that she is stressed out and she feels not like herself and instead of me actually listening and letting her talk i instantly interjected and tried to come up with solutions instead of understanding where she’s coming from but i’ve “won” her back pretty much everyday because every morning she’ll text me that she can’t do this but then i fight again expect i push and i’ve given her ultimatums and everything you can possibly do wrong, now i told her about stonewalling and she said she thinks she’s doing that and i thought we were good however she texted me last night saying she can’t and she’s done and she doesn’t want me to contact her, i think i understand and have the tools to help and fix this but how do i get her to hear me again, she won’t see me in person and she doesn’t want to text or call me. is it over or can i do anything??
