Finally something that is “plug and play” or I guess about as plug and play as a setup can be. As someone getting into van life, the electrical aspect that involved alternator, solar, shore power, batteries, monitoring etc felt really daunting. Certainly a lot of people will say it’s simple, but before getting my hands on it and ordering everything it’s kinda scary.

You’re not wrong man. Even after installing a bunch of systems, it’s still daunting and a wrestle every time. But…never again

In addition to MPPT solar input, can you also hook up wind generator as an input to charge? I m not sure if the shore power and alternator charge inputs can be repurposed for the wind generator input since solar will feel the mppt … Re: marine use case, sailboat. Thanks.

Great question! Im out of my depth on wind power. That would be a great question for EcoFlow tech support though! Let us know what you find out.

@@bigboatben you shouldn't be pulling 100amps on a 12v aircon, its usually around 50 or less. This system can put out 70amps continuous in 12v.

Can i add another brand of battery to this system? For example renogy or any other brand?
@benpryce
Жыл бұрын
Good question! The answer is no you cannot add another type of battery. That would introduce a number of variable and complicated electrical challenges that would cause more headache and problems than its worth. Its way easier, cheaper, and safer to just buy another EcoFlow battery and stack your capacity.

I’ve been looking at this in the 10kwh setup but can’t see anywhere that it shows it would support a Nomadic 12v Air conditioner.

They may not have written it anywhere specifically, but this is one of the most powerful and robust power systems available. It will definitely run your 12vdc air conditioner.

Everyone that's made a video about this system never has a follow up on it or nothing, I mean I haven't seen any of the people who promoted this system do a real world test on it, what's going on the we don't know about🤔

That's because they're new. Give it a another few months, you'll start seeing follow ups. We've installed 3 for clients so far, and they are as advertised! Super easy to install, and very capable.

Have the 5kw system for 6 months and so far its been the best. Ecoflow is a game changer for sure.
