2 years Sisterlocked! Love the decision I made! This is so true!!! My establishment was 3 days, almost $2K! My lowest retie was $140, the highest $200, but I wouldn't trade it for nothing in the world!

4 years Sisterlocked. Best decision ever! 16 hour installation over two days. No itchy scalp, dandruff, flaking, etc. Just sprayed with water. Re-ties every 8 weeks, $100-$150, well worth it. I color whenever I want.

I been deliberating about getting sisterlocks for years and have watched countless videos. I have to say this is the best one out of them all. Sisterlocks are not for me at this time in my life 😢

Hey Nicole, I’m you got something from the video and that you made the best decision for you at this point in your life. It took me a longtime to make my decision too. 🩷

I love love my sister locks. I put it off for years I’m very happy that I got them. Had them for about 4 years. What I love most about them is it’s a care free style that works for me. Yes sister Locks are an expense But every hairstyle that I’ve ever worn was expensive to maintain Relaxers, blow dry & curls, Weaves, Extension braids are all an expense. I’m learning how to do my retightening not because of the expense it’s more so because it’s convenient for me. Sister Locks aren’t for everyone. For best results, you definitely need to know how to take care of your hair and scalp

👏🏾👏🏾love hearing great experiences! I put it off too for a while - best decision I have ever made for my hair period. I think it’s important to go in to it with eyes wide open so it makes sense that you take your time and really consider the commitment. You’re right, I remember I would spend so much on my wigs, back in the day. Braids weren’t so bad because I did them my self. How long does it take for you to do your own retights?

Awesome information. Especially for the scalp. Please see a dermatologist if you’re already having issues. I had to find out the hard way. I was prescribed prescription shampoo and topical cream which helped tooooons. Adding pre/probiotics to your diet also helps.

You just got a new subscriber,🎉 Thanks for sharing your experience, ❤ I am about to begin the journey but still confused on whether I should go for a sisterloc or microloc.. But some locticians might give you a microloc and you would think it is sisterloc.. I am asking God to help me make the right decision..

Hey Jenny! It can definitely be a hard decision. If you decide on Sisterlocks, I would go on the Sisterlock website to find a few certified in your area. Then I would go on the Sisterlock Facebook page and ask for recommendations for loctitian S in your area. If any of those same names are recommended I would PM the people the recommended them and just dig a little to find out about their experience. I don’t believe the question is which one is better than the other. I think the question is which is best for you. So what is important to you? cost - long term, time, certified loctitian, specific grid pattern etc. Think on it and decide based on your lifestyle and what your ultimate hair goal is. Hope this helps Jennifer! 🩷🩷🩷

Too many crazy rules. Scalp is like skin and not being able to moisturize your skin is bad especially for Afro hair where our natural sebum doesn’t go through to the ends of the hair shaft due to the curls. I also hate how it feels to the touch. Dry and rough textured. Not for me for sure. I like feeling my fluffy hair. You missed a ton of cons.
