I'm a bit confused in #4 by the word "wider" that you repeatedly used. Do you mean the feet wider apart or you mean the forehand leg further back, in a more forehand oriented position?
@dublintabletennisclub
3 жыл бұрын
That is a great question :) Yeah I mean "wider" with having your body itself not face so "forward" to the table, but more wider angle of shoulders. So you place all of your body + feet more sideways when you are at the table. Putting the forehand leg behind and wider feet isn't the correct way of thinking, but it is basically what kinda happens. Legs go more apart when you stand like that and yes technically the leg does go more behind the body. But, it's more about put your whole body more sideways when you're behind the table. Let me know if that helps if not then I can do a quick short video for you :)

My backhand flick always goes in net how to correct, how to do in the ball dropping very low on the edge of the table?
@dublintabletennisclub
3 жыл бұрын
Well there is a few reasons why that would happen. 1.) Your rush / slap the ball, but I am sure you would notice that yourself so you would know better than me. 2.) Could be a combination of you not using enough follow through with your arm / wrist to carry the ball over. There is also a bigger chance that your wrist / grip isn't strong enough for the technique YET. That you can't fully whip it meaning you can't fully counter hit the ball. Got build up some more strength and grip into it. 3.) It helps if you flick from a Chop first so you can develop it better before you move on to do it from Serves. Having a good timing / high ball contact will always make your technique have higher chances to hit over the net. Hope that helps, but if it doesn't send me an email with a clip of you attempting it at dublinttc@gmail.com and I can take a deeper look :)

i am in Philippine Island, i just ask what is the best rubber to use in FH and BH for offensive player?
@dublintabletennisclub
Жыл бұрын
Great question, but it all depends on your level and weaknesses. If you're a beginner / intermediate then a balanced characteristics of Speed and Spin should be your main target of a rubber. Gewo rubbers aren't expensive and have that. Plus you can aim to use a rubbers quality to improve your weakness automatically. It will not fix, but it will help to develop it better. If you're an advance level then stick to Asian based rubbers where you focus more on the sponge thickness and hardness. The real quality of your racket will depend on how it compliments you :) Forget about the brand or the cost.
