Your Climatic Revelator is your best invention. I use BME280. It has Barometric pressure as well as temperature and humidity sensor built in with I2C communication.

Thank you, I am really happy with the weather scene carousel. I still use the BM180 as it's what was available when I designed it - stick with what you know! I'm sure I'll move to the 280, as the older version is getting harder to find.

Enjoyable as always, fun to see the contraption in action. Surprisingly hard to find a demonstration of the clarion sound though. Does it go ahooga? Toot toot? Bzzzzz? Possibly in an older video? I only joined during the Victoria build, maybe a bit late to the party.

I think there is a video of it sounding, I'll have a look and send you the link. It just plays a single note at about 90dB!

@@Woffy.I lose count of how many belly rubs she has each day. Fill the dishwasher, wash some towels and check on Ziggy every hour - these are my daily jobs. I know which one I prefer! Although efficient filling of the dishwasher...

I use the eco wash,, skip the pre wash I leave that to Banjo Cooper and Indi. Living on my own means I don't have to put the crocks away just leave them in the washer. Some plates must have been washed a few hundred times. Just come back from a long walk to straighten out my back, didn't work put it out again loading up dog food. Wouldn't mind too much but they have just had a major portion of my chicken, rice and veg. Unfortunately I can't trade a 'Belly rub' for a back rub. One further joint made on the Solar, can't find my stock or my olive puller to salvage a fitting. Ahhhhh. I think single malt. and an hour watching Collectormet. and Steamhead. @@steamhead

@@Woffy.Spot on - have a dog and remove the need for pre-wash! The frantic licking by Ziggy of the inside of the dishwasher's door as I'm about to close it is something to behold. Sorry to hear your back is playing up. Perhaps consider getting one of those back massage machines that hang over the back of a chair? Single malt and an hour of Collectormet, or even better still, Steamhead, sounds good! You don't live on your own. You have three of the most wonderful companions - Banjo Cooper and Indi! They'll listen attentively to your every thought, they unconditionally love and care about you, will help with the dishwashing and they provide so much joy every day. Wagging tails are wonderful!

Will your laser cutter cut 3mm brass plate?
@steamhead
6 ай бұрын
Sadly not, its 60 watt laser running at the recommended 40% power is great for ply, acrylic and card, but won't touch metal. I believe I'd need a 1kW laser - a little out of my league!

Probably better to go to a small home waterjet if you wanted to cut brass gears etc. very expensive though. @@steamhead

Wow, the Climatic Revelator is truly amazing! Very very well thought out, especially the fact it doesn't make a load of noise in the middle of the night (unless the cat's moving around I guess..)

Thank you kindly! I was so pleased to come up with the idea of a rotating weather scene carousel - something the Victorians could have achieved - and a PIR sensor was the icing on the cake, or even the cherry on top!
