Thanks Alex. Too many of us have been looking at too many golf videos over past 10 months with the danger being that the swing becomes mechanical. This has reminded me that its suposed to be a 'swing of the club' and not trying to get into 3 or 4 positions in a swing that takes 2 seconds to complete😇

Thank you Alex...this instruction is exactly what I’ve been working on the past few weeks. What you teach is so simple and I have found in your teaching is that in the past I have made the golf swing to complicated. You sir are spot on. Thank you again for making the golf swing so simple. I have been playing golf for over 50 years and I am now enjoying the game more than ever. It is no longer frustrating, it is fun when I can play to a target rather than hinder myself with swing positions. Great job in clarifying this game so we can concentrate on the result and that is getting that little round ball into the hole.

@@TheArtofSimpleGolf it worked very well. I had a horribly inconsistent day yesterday and applying this technique today really turning that around. I’d say 80% of my swings produced a shot on target. Importantly I began to develop a feel for my swing and that’s something that was missing yesterday. I’m going to continue to focus as suggested and do my best to keep it simple. Thanks for the great suggestion. So far so good!

For me it’s left knee , left hip and shoulder down slightly and slightly toward the ball because I want the whole left side to turn in tandem in the backswing as Sam Snead taught , but left shoulder down is good if you have too much leg and hip movement ! Alex is great and Robert Rock as well ! John

I haven't played in 4 years. Started hitting 1/4 to 1/2 swing wedges recently. been making solid on center contact fairly consistently. But the swing falls apart past a 1/2 swing. All the old bad techniques creep in. I lose connection, come over the top, no weight shift, and the list goes on and on. I just want to go out and enjoy the game again but it's hard to do if you're having to grind out every shot just to stay in the 90s. Can you feel my frustration? 🤣

@TheArtofSimpleGolf
4 жыл бұрын
Zax Drums basically you don’t need such sharp angles. People often look at Adam Scott for posture. It’s not for average player more often than not. Also look at hogan and Nicklaus... closer to the ball, bottom tucked in, pelvis neutral and slight rounded upper back. It’s more natural

Hello Alex, You made some videos with Shawn Clement that I watched and he said not to stick your arms against your chest but to let them go by gravity. What is the best or most important?
@TheArtofSimpleGolf
4 жыл бұрын
Rejean Tremblay well noted... it depends I’m afraid so not direct answer. It depends on what you are doing right now and what tendencies you have... but it’s important to note that a combo of the two helps most... feeling a little connected with upper arms helps to turn and keep together without being locked in with the other elbows. This is what goes wrong for most. Being way way to tight. So very upper arms can still allow plaenty of gravity and freedom. Find your zone :)

hmmmm, sorry to say but I struggled to keep my eyes open......I am sure most are aware that in order to generate revenue, videos are recommended to be 10+ minutes long. Would be good to see a video (even if it is 30 minutes long) which condenses your various golfing tips, rather than 'shot specific' versions entailing repetitions. Hope this feedback helps!
@TheArtofSimpleGolf
4 жыл бұрын
Mahesh Malaviya yep. And we have most videos that are below 5 mins. This is just trying to embed the importance of not having too many thoughts and the swing needs to be simple. If it’s just tip after tip... people forget: this is about making lasting change. And 10 mins is not long for that goal:)
@MaheshMalaviya

@@TheArtofSimpleGolf With respect, I was not recommending a tip after tip video - you can easily break it down in say 3 parts (1 tip per part) and make it say 12 minutes long for example. Hardly "too many thoughts"
