@@blackqweenmars I know that, and I'm not trying to say you should just believe what kids are saying. Just that people should take time to listen to what the they experienced. Mothers and fathers are just regular humans we don't have mind reading abilities so it is some times hard to know what your child means if they don't talk about it. You see your child's behavior has changed but if they don't want to or can't talk about what is going on you can't use a crowbar to open some one up all you can do is to be patient and try to figure out what is up with your child. If you are being abused tell your mom or your dad or a friend even straight up what is going on feel no shame because it is NEVER your fault as a child or as a teenager.

For situations like these it's important to find these clues and help your child give more detail, even if it seems like everything’s safe and perfect and sounds like it’s out of laziness. It’s only causing more damage to your child to leave it to him or her to add their story detail where once the nasty memories are out the kid then breaks down which in this case he’s afraid to do and doesn’t want to talk about it. So there’s not only sexual abuse caused by the coach here (which I’m not sure how he’s permitted and trusted to work around minors since this has obviously happened before) but also neglect from his mother for not using enough brain cells to communicate with her son more to ensure he’s not being harmed everyone should know that it’s wrong to be so dismissive towards a child in this way this is a lot of stress added to the trauma of a situation that no child should ever have to face. So for god sake help them!

If i was Charlie's mother, i would say to him "What does Pete make you do exactly? You can tell me Charlie, im your mother. If something bothering you, it's my job to understand what's happening to my son and then make it right" in a way to make sure Charlie has courage to explain in a more understood way

Oh my gosh, can you guys stop talking about how she didn't take the hint? He said he just thought it was boring, and didn't wanna go, but she saw nothing truly wrong with that. Had he told her that "Hey, Pete did some gross things with me, I don't wanna go!", she would've beaten Pete up and apologized for ever letting him go there. Might even call the cops, too. He didn't specify because he didn't wanna remember the pain. Most victims feel like this, too. Helpless and scared. So no, she couldn't take a hint. He specified to Carlos's mom, who then told his mom.

Exactly why this video was made, to educate kids and parents on how to communicate. Parents watching this will take note that a kid not wanting to go may not just be moody or bored or any of the other typical reasons they don't want to go. Parents don't always know what signs to look out for and that's why videos like this are important--to help both the parent and the child. I mean, look up Gary Plauche. He ignored signs that may be obvious today, but things were different in 1982 and he didn't know what we know now. His son was thankfully rescued and rehabilitated, and Gary, feeling broken and guilty, put a bullet in the abuser's head. He clearly loved his son and never wanted anything to happen to him, like any sane parent. DON'T DEPRICATE--EDUCATE!!!

My mom honestly, ALWAYS knows if something is wrong with me. I guess it's because I make a face that tells something is wrong. But when I'm upset about something personal I keep telling her that i didn't want to talk about it. But when she gets a feeling something is wrong, she keeps asking me about it until I speak. My mom is a great mom, and I don't know what I'd do without her.

This happens to adults too. I told our church leaders that a woman kissed me in the cheek and I didn’t feel safe or comfortable being there. This was after they said that no one is allowed in your personal space without your permission. They said they didn’t think it was sexual and that I should talk to her about it. I don’t know if it was sexual or not, but she violated my personal space. And that is not ok. Instead of talking to her, I just don’t want to go back. I don’t know why they didn’t handle it. It’s sad that a lot of people don’t get to go to church and hear about Jesus because the church is allowing this. It’s unacceptable.

I am so glad there are videos like this to help children and their families on sexual abuse and how it is never okay. When I become a parent, I always want my child to tell me anything and to let them know it's okay to tell me even if it hurts. And for parents to really pay attention to their children's behavior and words.

Telling someone something important especially your parents is VERY hard when I’ve had to do this I actually had my best friend tell her mom so that her mom would tell my mom, I didn’t have the guts to tell them what I was going through, but luckily my friend was there that night and she actually saved my life and she wasn’t even there physically. With the abuse I suffered from my father (mental and emotional and rare cases of physical) I never told my mom because when I would she would confront him and then he’d come and hurt ME for telling her it was actually the night my friend saved my life that I was finally getting the help I needed I was sent to the hospital and then sent to another place a mental facility for kids and it was honestly horrible BUT there was one good person there that I finally told about my abuse and I was too afraid to tell my dad what he was doing to me mentally so the lady asked if it would be ok if while on the phone with them, she’d explain it. It’s been about 3 years now and my dad and I had a therapy session together and we finally made him understand the importance of his actions and he’s really changed, I’m finally happy. When trying to tell someone like an adult or a parent and they just “reject” this like the kid in this video you won’t want to tell them. If someone tells you they don’t want to go somewhere anymore or they don’t like someone anymore DONT assume ASK them why, that’s all they need to tell you is for you to LISTEN.

When i was little in Y2, i have been bullied my entire life...and i got beaten up a lot in class and when it was time to play outside and i got jumped on pushed all the time and punched all over my body, and i was so alone in school..that i wish that I wasn't, i only had one friend called Casey and she got bullied with me and I didn't want her to get bullied with me but it kept happening until Casey left me...and then i was completely all alone till Y6 and i met a girl called Megan, we are still best friends till this day and yes i still get bullied, but it's very hard to tell why your being bullied cause you don't know why my name is Kelisha and I'm 11 now and i have to do online school cause my school is shut down, but hope you enjoyed my bullying story...

it’s very difficult though, in a situation where the child might be too young to even know words that could describe what they’re going through, the parent should 100% understand it by “I don’t like them” “ I don’t wanna be around them anymore”

It's sad when you're too young, doesn't understand what's happening (think it's normal), want to find help but can't find the right words for it to say to others... When you grew up and just realised it, the damage was already done. But that doesn't mean you can't heal, doesn't mean you are broken. Whatever happened to you was not your fault, don't blame yourself. Love yourself. Never forget to love yourself first before anyone else. Surround yourself with positive people that support you. Share your emotions with people you trust to help you and protect you. Your emotions matter. You matter. Don't forget that.

I remember when I was living with my uncle with my other aunt as my guardian. I couldnt say anything much because of my autism, let alone because I was a kid, and everyone always told me to spit it out, which caused me to freeze up even more. I was abused by another kid and thought I was going to die and never go to heaven to see my mom, so not knowing what to do I just waited for myself to pass. They thought I was on drugs, even though I said repeatedly I would never be on them and hated them. Shows how much they listened. Even though they came to comfort me, it was only under threat of any punishment was I made to be put back in line. They didnt bother to investigate, and even when I tried to explain, i was just made to ignore my own feelings and assume i was wrong. Even when i had a mental breakdown after returning to the place where i was molested, they still ignored how I reacted and I never liked bowling since. Even after seeing how I didnt like bowling, they still didnt know. How is someone who was made to deny his feelings, not even knowing his feelings, mocked for even showing feelings, supposed to even BEGIN to express or explain things, especially when most of the autistic ways he expresses himself is inappropriate? But yeah, even though I have aspergers and have never, ever lived a normal life, never was made to go out, was made to fear the world, you wanted me, in all of my issues, to have a normal life? Go fuck yourself.

When I was 6 years old my dads friend was weird around I even got a weird vibe around him I told my mom and she said "Your probably just afraid of adults because of your age." Then when we went back the next day to hang out he then led my family to a room and everyone got bored and left then it was just me and him in that room meanwhile everyone was downstairs he then got up and started touching and tried taking off my clothes I told my mom again and she told my dad he was not happy he befriended his "Friend" and called the police on him to this day I am healthy and happy.

Some kids hint what they want through their actions, or hides in words stating what is going on. Some even fake it and pretend everything's OK. That they are OK. When they need help. Sometimes we ask help so much, but continuesly keep getting ignored, that we give up on asking for help.

I went tho sexual abuse by many people b4 and let it happen. But its thr geatest relief you will ever feel once u make it stop, it was all uncomfortable and sad at first but then you realize who da fuck you are and be that independent person and get threw it, and now rather then getting scared and sad, i get PISSED when someone does that now, so that it stops right then and there. Just teach yourself to be mad faster abt it from the start cuz when u get mad enough (and u will when it comes to that) itll defiantly stop it and give u courage to. Now, i dont let no body do that shit to me and idc if i loose the closest ppl to me, you and me are more important than that so dont be afraid to do smth or tell cuz ur awesome so no matter who it is dont be afraid of no bitch

Though, why him telling he doesn't want to go there wasn't enough for the mom? Especially when he told he didn't want to see Pete anymore, why did she push him? Even if it wasn't anything like abuse, simple "I don't want to" should still be enough.
